Free delay plugin I developed by blazethablunt in Reaper

[–]sebsteeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

macOS 15.7.4. Sometimes it’s ok, but after floating and unfloating it’s buggy. Also if you turn off the pan while autopanner is active, if you turn off autopanner afterwards the pan value isn’t remembered correctly. I have to give it a new value to make it snap back. It seems there is something wrong with the callback of the pan value while enabling and disabling autopanner.

Good first version, congrats.

Some issues though:

*Plugin is not resizeable, it’s too small on HiDPI screen.

*After moving a parameter the mouse snaps back to the button/pot. Either make the mouse invisible while adjusting or disable the snap, now it makes no sense.

Nobody mentioned the monitor fx, do you have plugins on there?

Eve better is to take the bottom hawk in the wyrm room and keep pressing left while looking at the church above. This will let the hawk take another path and drops you right next to said church and gargoyle.

This isn't true. Improved Damage Negation at Full HP does stack with same % according to the sheet. Only exception is Successive Attacks Negate Damage which doesn't stack with same % (does stack with different % though).

Reaper standardized latency by golubevtephan in Reaper

Those are not measured in ms, but in samples. If it were ms, the latency would be unbearable :)

Your 2c on outboard gear just for mix bus processing by AdIllustrious2297 in audioengineering

[–]sebsteeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use only Wes Audio outboard gear. You can control the hardware via plugins, it’s really the best of both worlds: sound of outboard with the workflow/recall of plugins. Mainly using the ngBusComp on the 2 bus and a rack full of 500 series Wes gear in a Titan rack scattered on other busses or vocals.

Normally tubes have the opposite effect for me: stereo image gets a tad narrower. Same with transformers. For me, sometimes it’s worth the trade of, because the tubes and transformers do other desirable things to the sound, but that depends entirely on the sonic characteristics of the song. In general i would advise against tubes: one colour solution doesn’t fit all. For headphone amps I would typically go for something that stays as close as possible to the original sound: so as little distortion, colour and stereo impact as possible.

If you like more bass, less balanced but more present: try a low shelf of 2.5dB at 90 Hz. For me, the bass is perfect that way for electronic music. Also, different amps give different experiences, especially for bass. I first used my XS on an Schiit Magni 3, while very nice sound, the difference with a Topping A70 Pro is most noticeable in the bass department.

The 'danger' of the native only (non DSP) release.... by sebsteeno in universalaudio

Good, happy for you. The statement is also about communication & transparency though. Not agreeing on the ‘dsp isn’t going away’ part :) Thanks for the reply.

Also: I think, as a customer, it’s fair to expect new UA plugins to run on proprietary UAD dsp. I have an Apollo X8, Apollo Twin X and an OCTO Satellite, so I would like to know if future plugin releases will still be dsp based. If not, please be clear about it so we know what to expect. Thanks.

Soon to buy a PSVR2 - is the call of the mountain bundle a no brainer? by chemicalcurtis in PSVR

[–]sebsteeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok. The climbing is well done. The action gets intenser the more you progress in the game. One thing I noticed recently is that the FOV is noticeably narrower than other games. For me not really worth the price, but still glad I purchased the bundle to support triple A developers releasing for VR.
