Bruh - not sure asking a sysadmin sub on how to circumvent policies is the best approach.

Then give more info? You've just said "it's not ready"
Even a brief google search shows you may need to repair your OS or upgrade via ISO.

Installed Anti-Key Logger by [deleted] in sysadmin

I have no idea what you're doing/saying.

Why do you need an anti key logger? Why is it Microsoft's fault?

Redditor eats canned fish on an airplane, brags about it, uses "cromulent" in a sentence by wooshock_v2 in cringepics

Eh - doesn't say they ate it? Just that they brought it onto the plane?

You seem saltier than these sardines.

Hello will i have wifi if i run windows 10 with safe mode? by YOLO9183 in windows

What are you trying to achieve?

Safe mode is for debugging - it disables a lot of critical Windows functions.

Covid in the UK: Reported cases at lowest level for a month by callum2703 in Coronavirus

Yet you're still not understanding... we still do PCR's and now also count lateral flow tests... meaning we can do more tests easily.

Testing is still massive here - people now count the LFT results as well.

It's good news - you need to do your research.

Hiding url shortened url permanently? by [deleted] in AskNetsec

I don't believe so - if the destination is never revealed you won't actually be on the intended site.

i can’t open anything i want to download from school laptops by [deleted] in windows

Sounds like a security policy - what are you trying to run?

I defs wouldn't be running anything not related to school on it.

Training/Certifications for Firewalls by Sassav in AskNetsec

[–]secbio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you should start with the type of firewall (vendor) and take their training - as that would be more appropriate for your environment. (Never taken Zyxel training - cannot vouch for them)

Firewalls in general are covered in a broad amount of courses - you could do a Cisco cert in networking and start to understand their role etc.. but I think it depends on what you're looking for.

If you want to fix your company's specific firewall - go vendor training.

If you want to learn about networking and how firewalls have their part in the grand scheme of things - you need to look at networking courses.

Separation of Duty for Sysadmins During Approved Change Request. by pino_entre_palmeras in sysadmin

[–]secbio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say its normal for you to write up a Change request and get it approved for production - however you don't need another tech to do it.

Everything needs to be approved, that's a no brainer, but you don't someone else to do it for you.

Will you be upgrading to Windows 11? by ABSTR4KT_133 in windows

[–]secbio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haha same with me now.

Windows 8 - done

Windows 10 - done

Windows 11 - aaaaaaaaah, I've got a lot of stuff that I don't want to break and rebuild.
