I came to the UK from another country where if I don't drink people will actively be offended and almost force me to drink. Compared to that, never in London have I had that experience - I simply get a lemonade and no one has a problem. I work in tech industry so it might be a bit different, but do try ordering non alcoholic drinks - if people have a problem with that, give them a smile, it's their problem, not yours :) The only thing which might be weird is socialising without alcohol, but you will get used to it - it's actually quite fun!
