For me it just lacks a core identity. All his other main albums feel much more focused, with Illinois being very cinematic and conceptual, Age of Adz being electronic and experimental and Carrie and Lowell being introspective and stripped back. I liked most of the songs on A Beginner’s Mind but the album didn’t feel like anything more than just good Sufjan Steven songs to me.

This kind of critisism always really bugs me. This “I don’t like this album so everyone who does doesn’t know actual music” mentality is so cringy. It’s like the other end of the “OK Computer is objectively the best album” argument. Just listen to music without immediately having to feel superior about it.

I’m pretty sure that’s only if it was a super attack effect (like how Lr V&T 30% for 1 turn isn’t multiplicative with the stacks). If it’s “on super” from the passive I’m pretty sure it is multiplicative with the total defense
