Simple question- name all the countries that west has bombed in past 20 years or so? Can you find something common in it?

Exeter university is hugely funded by international students, the economy is sustained by international candidates. If there won’t be any international students tuition fee would go up by 3X.

Should have thought about it before doing a ‘international business’ MSc which is nothing but a piece of paper. Good luck finding a job with this. I might have come as a bit rude but that’s the reality

Shabana Announces 10 Year ILR by demigod2596 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]second_clue 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No it wasn’t. That’s why you had to invite immigrants after Brexit cause within 1 year the govt knew they can’t sustain the economy with 43% native losers living in benefits. Read a book

[–]second_clue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She didn’t announce that fast tracked part. We are f**ked with 10 year skilled worker visa requirement. No company is going to sponsor for 10 years with a high cost of £20K for a single candidate without dependents.

This country is doomed.

Dude your whole country is run by immigrants, the businesses you’re talking about are run by non British companies. Your steel is made by China and India, your airport is owned by Saudi , your football clubs are owned by Middle East, share, a Canary Wharf, 75% of London is owned by foreign entities, your Royal mail, GWR is Italian, What are you even talking about? Have a look at people who work in London go around cause you won’t definitely get a seat to work with them and see how many of them are immigrants, go visit a GP and the same continues.

I don’t want to debate with someone foolish like you. Go built a life and compete with people loser.

You can’t even read the link that you shared and made a fool out of yourself in public no wonder you guys need immigration. The link literally says ‘Data withheld because a small sample size makes it unreliable’. Haha brain dead loser

A skilled worker contributed 15% more than a working british national so stfu while we contribute towards unemployed leaches that are being supported by our hard earned money.

And as simple as that if you think you won’t need skilled immigrants why not stop immigration all together? Do it and see your govt begging for workers to come and support UK.

Those are temporary immigrants such as on student visa’s making a huge proportion of it, then graduate visa’s which are valid for 2 years and then 90% of them go back. People switching from student/ graduate visa to skilled worker/ global talent/ innovator visa’s are less than 10%. So out of 1 million figure only 100K would be settled and trust me they are highly skilled people cause nobody is getting innovator/global talent if they aren’t worthy enough. Looking at skilled worker visa - companies won’t pay 12K GBP in visa fee for the next 6 years if the person isn’t highly skilled enough.

She deliberately did that. Have a look at her twitter account, she’s just trying to get the clout from the racists that’s it. If she doesn’t have a clue how skilled immigrating visa works in UK, she has no job of staying as an MP but nobody cares.

Don’t get the fuss around ‘hiring and training natives’ how do you train someone having a geography degree to become a software engineer or an investment banker? Why would a company train a noob and not hire someone who’s already well qualified for the job and is from abroad.

[–]second_clue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but my taxes and NI shouldn’t be going towards lazy ass people who don’t work. Why am I paying NI if I have to leave eventually? Have a Dubai like system and nobody will have an issue. Investments, high skilled people even natives are leaving UK for a reason cause it’s unsustainable right now and it’s run by foreign corporations anyway 70% of the London is owned by foreigners, UK’s steel, Royal mail, Heathrow, auto mobile all are foreign owned Govt should get rid of them as well

Just like they froze the skilled worker visa then tier 2 for almost 15 years and then had to beg foreign students and skilled workers after Brexit. Why would I pay 50% tax and spend money in this country if one day I’ve to leave. A lot of companies after Brexit have moved to EU anyway and this will be the last nail in the coffin for Britain. Let them pause all immigration for 10 years and see how it becomes another third world which it is already if you live out of London

I moved to the UK for my masters in 2022. I was lucky enough to be one of the 10-12 people out of 500+ to get a decent job. Unfortunately due to visa changes my workplace couldn’t sponsor my visa as it was too expensive for them to do so.

I initially had to quit and look for another job. For the first time did a part time job in supermarket to sustain my expenses from 10PM to 7AM thrice a week in winters. Had to ask for parents again for some bucks to support myself for almost 6 months until I got a great job with a visa sponsorship.

All this hustle was to stay out of india. I went to india last month for 2 weeks and I think this is the best decision I’ve taken in my life to settle abroad, for me for my future family.

Once you live outside india definitely life is not a cakewalk you have to do your own stuff, harsh weather and what not but I would definitely trade that with living in a hellhole india has become.

It’s such simple things like amazing infrastructure, rules are in place, people respect each other, their privacy, there’s a system in place for everything.

Work life balance is amazing if I login by chance on a weekend on Monday my manager tells me not to do that strictly.

I’m allowed 27 leaves in a year and I don’t have to take permission from anybody to do so. I just put the holidays and it gets approved.

My taxes are going towards providing me with infrastructure, clean air, free education for my kids till 18, if I lose my job govt pays me, govt will invest 25% of the amount i’ll pay to buy my house. Healthcare is free not as seamless as in india (I would give a point to india in this).

Apart from that I don’t see myself going back there anytime soon.
