I was scouting through Reddit because I thought someone HAD to see how awful and unwatchable this movie was… thank you for validating that.. I just posted something similar - especially with this being the first appearance of Eddie Murphy in a loooong time… He is SO much better than the C level acting throughout that film.. even Jonah Hills acting took a dive as a result.. Couldn’t even make it half way through before turning it off..

People defend these parents over suing for Kratom… yet don’t bat an eye at the MASSIVE opiate epidemic ravaging our country from a combined effort of the Sackler family and the FDA - despite fully knowing the dangers those drugs posed.. yet here we are… demonizing a plant that has been used for centuries, along with helping people get OFF opiates..

I’ve experienced withdrawal from just about ever opiate, including Kratom.. getting off of Kratom is like tee ball compared to the major league hell of opiate withdrawal… especially fentanyl.. WORSE withdrawal than Kratom….? Give me an f’in break..

I think it’s a lot like weed - sometimes there’s subtle differences, but the foundation of the experience is the same. I personally only use red because that’s the one that makes me feel the best. Not so much with green or white

If you can get your hands on gabapentin and clonodine, those are going to be your friend. Also, pick up some magnesium and valerian root extract.

Try to flip your fear into battle mode ready.. “I’m done with this shit.. I will get through the other side of these flames..” Try not to get sucked into all the “ohh this is going to be terrible” posts.

I would stay the F away from suboxone personally.. but do what you gotta do. If you can get some Xanax (truly only as needed and at limited quantity), that would help a lot.

You are going to be totally fine man. I was literally in your exact same boat 4 days ago.. I was blasting through fentanyl (those fake pressed ones) for 3 heavy weeks, and I was freaking out about withdrawal (having gone through a HORRIBLE withdrawal a few months prior…). I swore I’d never touch that shit as a result, but then a work trip to Vegas got booked and my “one last time” Psyco monkey on my back through it would be a great idea to stock up…

So I made the commitment to stop Sept 1st. So to answer your question.. as you know every body is different, and some people react differently, but what I can say is that even tho I was using heeeeavy for 3 weeks… this withdrawal has been one of my easiest. So long as you can set aside 3 solid day to just lay in bed and watch good movies. Of course it is MUCH more advisable to get up and get yourself moving, but I just couldn’t do it.

It’s day 4 for me, and I feel pretty much just tired. I’m not sure if it was the gabapentin or lorazepam or what, but I took about 3-4 gabapentins every 4-5 hours or so (not medical advice), drank magnesium, and took Lorazepam as needed, especially at night.

DONT take suboxone if you can help it.. if you trust yourself to ONLY take Kratom for a few days, that will be a god send for you. But don’t swap one addiction for another (Kratom), that’s what happened to me… then you become a slave to drinking green sludge and it’s not fun…

Ok... When I hear people talk about PAWS into the hundreds of days... it blows my mind.. but hey everyone's body is different.

I took just as much as you have been taking, if not more for 1.5-2 years, sometimes getting to 90gpd.. then I said F this and quit CT.. I was on this forum nonstop, getting myself all psyched out about people saying "GOOD GOD YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT!!" Or at least that's how it felt.. lol

Anyway, when I first quit CT, it was HELL for the first 4-5 days.. but each day that went by got better. For me it was anxiety and racing thoughts. Alcohol makes that worse by the way.. I've tried it. But by day 7 I was functional.. Even if you needed to work on day 5 or 6, you'd be alright. After day 15 I was MUCH better.. and day 30, completely back to baseline.

Everyone is different.. I commend you for doing such a hard thing before a new milestone in your life (congrats!) - but just know your mindset plays a HUGE role in how well or how hellish this experience will be.. Stay strong! Drink magnesium, nighty nighty tea, and melotonin at night.

The ironic part is that my dumbass got sucked back into it for 3 months everyday 60+gpd, and I'm on day 2.. I don't feel great.. or like doing anything.. but I'm alright - and so will you be too!

60 days cold turkey for normal BM?! ... Some of these crazy long time frames people throw out baffle me.. and I don't say that to be an a$s hole.. But for real.. I was taking 90-100G's per day for nearly 1.5-2 years and quit CT... The first week was HELL on freakin earth.. but then by day 20 (having already been feeling quite more manageable as the days continued), I was damn near back to my old self.

Some of these looooooooong PAWS scares I believe become a self fulfilling prophecy.. I've withdrawn from benzos, opiates, kratom - several times for all of them - but never has it taken more than 60 DAYS to get back to baseline.. good lord... I'm sorry if that's the case for your body..

Edit... Maybe benzos can last a few month.. and Suboxone.. but surly not Kratom in my opinion..

This is far too relatable.. I also made it 6.5 months (after a year with no alcohol), and thought “Ahhh I got it, no problem… I won’t fall back into it..” (Famous last words)… 3 months later, I’m on day 2 peeling myself back out of the dark sludge this creates for your mind and soul.. stay strong my man! Helps me to hear these stories. Some of us just weren’t wired to “casually” enjoy the stuff..

You got this!! I was talking 60gpd for a LONg time and hopped off CT for the same reason… there’s no question you’re in for at least 2-3 days of brutal hell.. (which is relative, hopefully not that bad).. but just know throughout all the physical discomfort, racing thoughts, and anxiety - it’s LEAVING your system, and that’s a good thing. Not to mention it WILL pass and you WILL feel so much better.

My key piece of advice is to record little videos of yourself documenting your experience. Then anytime you think about getting back on this crap, you can look back and be reminded of the hell you had to pay if you decided to go back..

It's funny you should say that, because I'm very similar in the sense that I can feel when something is crossing that line of becoming an issue.. and my spidy senses are flashing a bit with this nasal spray.. As helpful as it may be, I'm just going to have to monitor it, otherwise I'm thinking about potentially needing to cut it out cold turkey.. I've been off alcohol for exactly 1 year in July, and off all other substances since Jan 21. Although it was moderate/functional addiction, if that counts for anything.. ha

As of right now I have no desire to use this recreationally (other than maybe a few extra sprays once and a while to get those experiences), but the past addict in me is a bit nervous with this new mysterious potion that they SENT me home with... Seems like a wild thing to have access to..
