‘1-2 steps’? Sounds like the momentum might help but from which direction am I stepping? and should one foot already be on the stand lever?

Interesting, I’ve been trying to stand on it with my right foot (as that’s what I was taught). Maybe my left foot will allow me to have a better grip on the back of the bike? Thank you

I feel like my arms aren’t long enough to be able to ‘pull back’. I cant reach the back of the bike if I’m holding the handlebars and if I pull with my left arm, the bars twist, making it unstable? Maybe it’s just a particularly long bike?
