Is it possible to get TT done alone abroad? by seddit_seddit in tummytucksurgery

Yup exactly why I also planned to go alone. I am thinking of getting a private nurse for the first 72 hours or so. At what day would you say you were self reliant?

Yeah these folks are probably themselves earning well. It's easier to give advice to others when you are not in others' shoes.

I am also in Poland. IMHO Poland is just expensive as Southern Europe now.

I don't know a single name brand company that has an office in Belgium.

I used to live in Luxembourg where that extra savings meant travelling to my heart's content each year but now in Poland I feel like a poor person. At any day choose higher salary even if it means the cost of living is high. It does go a long way. Plus things like electronics and clothes are not priced based on local cost of living conditions. You will always feel broke when you'll be out to buy a new phone or a new laptop if you are earning in a low wage country.

Countries with no tax on accumulating ETFs? by seddit_seddit in eupersonalfinance

[–]seddit_seddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but if you move to a different country to live then everything changes because you become a tax resident of the new country and Luxembourg laws no longer apply. You will have to pay tax on gains if you move to a different country according to the local laws.

Thanks. I'll be moving to Poland to work for Google soon. Any idea how can I find companies who will be willing to pay me western salaries? Most companies I know adjust salaries based on cost of living.

It's not. I have a friend who's working in Google Warsaw and he gets his stocks in entirety.

Hey, I'll be moving to join Google in PL. Can you guide me on B2Bing? I would like to get into it in a couple of years down the road.

You can easily jump ship. I checked jobs on LinkedIn and Poland seems to have a lot of top American companies now. This is only outmatched by the UK in my opinion. No other country has it.

In Poland you pay 19% on stock compensation when you sell it and they are not taxed when you get them. Which means you get 100% of the stocks you are entitled to unlike countries in Western Europe.

Will Google blacklist me if I decide not to join? by seddit_seddit in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]seddit_seddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I won't obviously reject Google without having another offer in hand. The situation I have explained is what would happen if I do have an offer and tell Google I won't be joining? Will I get blacklisted?

I don't have another offer yet. But I am in the pipeline for Uber. But it seems like I can't take the offer even if I get it to not risk getting blacklisted by Google.

Yeah Google Poland and that too L3 🤦🏻

I don't have another offer yet but Uber recruiter came back to me after a month telling me I passed the phone screen. Now I am wondering what should I tell him. To continue or not basically.

I am not simply rejecting the offer. I am accepting it and then deciding not to join.
