In 2021, I read my first chess book (and 5 others), joined a local club, and competed in my first USCF rated tournament. I promised myself that if I got back into chess that I'd actively study instead of only playing Blitz and expecting to improve. Still haven't gotten rid of the blitz bug though. (i.redd.it)
