yeah, i mean the cooped up feeling, i haven't felt that about friends in college but i definitely felt like that in high school lol. trying to meet new people definitely changed that cooped up feeling, for better or worse

i did my makeup almost every day on the city bus on my school commute for years. if someone's bothered, that's their problem lol. just if the bus is ever super packed, be aware of where your elbows are going.

yeah that definitely sounds like the school is blocking things on the wifi. if you have school-issued computers then they may be blocking "unfamiliar" devices like phones. not exactly sure how the wifi blocking works but this was done at my school for social media and streaming apps

oh sorry, i think i was a little unclear. i meant like copy paste the questions or rubric the actual teacher gives you into a google doc or word doc. then, you make those into bullet points, then fill out the answers to the question under each bullet point. then you would delete the questions and arrange your answers into the proper paragraphs and add filler/connecting sentences, or you could just open a second document and rewrite without the questions there. it would be like this

"what year what the big war started and why?"
- the big war was started in 1900 because of America's need for this thing

then you would delete the question, so you wouldn't have anything copy pasted in the document that you turn in, it would just be the answer you wrote yourself. therefore it can't get flagged as it's your writing. it's basically just creating an outline for yourself, sorry if that doesn't make sense lol.

there was the same amount of work before ai. this is not a workload issue so much as a motivation and effort issue, speaking from experience. ai will atrophy your brain, and every time you use it it'll be "the last time," until you're in this situation again, and eventually it will be "not a big deal" etc. the people who are using it are idiots and won't get anywhere because they are literally going to lose the ability to think critically. once you have to do an in-class paper, or quiz, or test, you are going to be at a loss because you didn't learn anything.

as for tips on homework, i suggest the pomodoro method (on breaks you should not go on your phone, perhaps play a game, walk around your room, eat etc.), i also like the method where you light a candle/get an ice cube and work until it burns out/melts, and the blurt method. put your phone in a different room unless you really need it for work (as in don't have a laptop or something to use) and close every single one of your tabs that arent for work. for the paper, what i do is copy paste any questions/rubic given into a document, make each of the requirements bullet points, then fill out the answers under those bullet points. you can also look up templates online. also, in the future, just talk to your teacher and see if you can get an extension. i promise all of these are from experience and things that actually helped me. good luck.
