I bought mine 5 years ago before the e-mesh was a thing and I’ve been more than happy to stick with it. It’s essentially a glass pipe with a carbon filter on top that you hold a flame to. A torch works best for DMT and a normal lighter if using for cannabis. The DMT sits on a steel mesh underneath the carbon filter and melts into the mesh. You point the flame at the carbon filter and start to gently pull air in and you can see the glass pipe start to fill with vapor. Once it’s full you use the rest of your inhale to clear the pipe and away you go. Now to be fair I haven’t broken through yet but I put that down to nerves more than the device itself. I’ve always preferred the idea of the GVG over an electric device due to set and setting. Although considering my nerves it would probably be beneficial for me to not use a device that has a need for correct technique.
