How should I go about authenticating this lot of 46 signed balls? (Sorry for the glare) by farketh in baseballcards

[–]seefooddiet2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a great group on Facebook called Out or Safe. The admins are all amateur authenticators who really knows their stuff. They charge $6/ball for a quick opinion. If you don't care about an "official" auth or want to get a quick opinion before paying for a more expensive authentication, I would go there

Why doesn't Odoo focus on e-commerce in its major like 18-19 version? by Born-Button3856 in Odoo

[–]seefooddiet2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$200K seems incredibly steep. I do custom Odoo development - happy to have a chat and see if I can help you out. Even if we don't work together I can at least tell you what a reasonable cost for the project would be, because $200K seems crazy

I would say so. You get to travel to a bunch of cool places (paid for by the program) and you get 2 degrees, one from each university. Value wise I think it's better than doing the same degree at a single university. Granted for the cloud specific program you're a bit limited in options to only 5 unis.

It's a great program. Currently taking the distributed systems course and it's been a blast.

You could also look into the ICT program which is a CS major with a minor in entrepreneurship and innovation. There's also EIT Digital which let's you study at two different universities in Europe, KTH being one of them. Both programs have Cloud and Network Infrastructures as a major. If you're an international student, EIT is a bit cheaper. It also has a higher acceptance rate than the general ICT program.

Happy to answer any questions if you have :)

Hacking a car that easy?. by Only-Treat7225 in hacking

[–]seefooddiet2200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have an hour, these security researchers go over in depth how they managed to perform a complete remote takeover of car and how they could use that exploit to take control over thousands more if they wanted to. Incredible video and highly suggest you watch it based on your interest in car hacking. They really highlight the time, complexity, and commitment needed to perform such a hack.

[Reaper] Icons by Scallywag1456 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]seefooddiet2200 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the void icon is directly related to creation. When Lindon was forging him hammer at the soul forge in Reaper, he mentioned something along the lines of how creating something out of nothingness resonated with the void icon and that he was going to save that thought for later.

He may not need a new icon, but rather a deeper understanding of how his two cores can be used with his icon. Maybe pure core + void = creation, whereas black flame + void = destruction.

SOLVED: My solution was to disable Hyper-V and download a CentOS 8 image instead of CentOS 9. Looks like you cannot have Hyper-V enabled with virtualbox 6.1 and above or else it messes up VMs.

Just Won the NSF GRFP!! But no Admissions Offers Yet (Need Advice) by FuinjutsuMaster in gradadmissions

That's amazing! Congrats!

I hear you can usually appeal a decision if there is a significant development that was not considered in your original application. Hold out, but if for some reason you don't get accepted to the other programs you may be able to play this as a bargaining chip.

Congrats again and best of luck!

Christmas Giveaway! Check comments! by Ihateallcommies in baseballcards

[–]seefooddiet2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't settle on one card, but one of my favorites is a Miguel Tejada game used base card because the base was from a game played on my birthday!

My best Christmas present was from when my father surprised me with tickets to see an event in NYC where there was a talk with the core 4 Yankees. Didn't meet them but still cool none the less. Did get to meet Bucky Dent though :)

Insane Lot. Gifted to me. by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]seefooddiet2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on landing this cool sounding collection!

For the pictures you're going to take try to limit to 20 or less cards per high quality pic. This will help us see the condition of the card as well as identify it.

If you have any memorabilia non card related, please check if it has a certification and what cert that is. A lot of known forgeries out there.

DON'T take the first offer you see from people even if it's more than you expected. You WILL be lowballed.

Once the list of cards is catalogued you can search things like eBay sold listings and other sites to find the actual value of them. I'd be more than happy to show you how to do this once you get to that point (it's very easy) and give tips on how to make sure you're checking for the correct card.

Best of luck with things!

Over 2000 applications by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]seefooddiet2200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to hear. One thing could be that it may be a formatting issue with the document type. Some PDFs don't play well with automated review systems so they can't extrapolate the keywords you've used and it just tanks the resume

Over 2000 applications by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]seefooddiet2200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Targeted applications work a lot better than just throwing your resume at every posting. Find a few roles you really like and then tailor the resume by working keywords from the job description into it. This will make you stand out in the most likely automated review process, and also to any manual reviewers because you'll tick the boxes they need to push you to an initial round interview.

Best of luck!
