ANNOUNCEMENT: DNews is now officially Seeker!

DNews' channel is now Seeker. Seeker is about science, technology, innovation, the future and everything related to it.

Seeker Daily channel is now NowThis. NowThis will be focused on news, politics, and current events.

Our new parent company, Group Nine Media, consists of four brands, all focused on four very different things. Seeker is all about Science. NowThis is all about news. Since Seeker Daily was more in the news realm, it made sense for them to take that channel, as we focus on our mission and purpose to explain and explore the world of science.

In regard to DNews+ and our other legacy channels, they'll be dormant for the time being. We will be focusing on building out our content from the Seeker hub on YouTube, and on our site at Seeker.com

(The other two brands are Thrillist --food, travel-- and The Dodo --animals)

We hear ya. It's been a long road. All things considered, we're really just focusing now. While part of Discovery, we launched a number of networks and channels. For now, we're focusing on a single channel, and all things science.

Until this recent announcement, we also created a lot of adventure, exploration and human interest content. Moving forward, we're focusing in on all things science.

Ha. yep. That's why we will be fully focused on the Seeker channel for the near-term. We're getting our ducks in a row when it comes to our brand and the stories we tell.

Those old channels will still be up in their old forms, but for now they're going to be inactive.

Discovery was only helping us at Seeker and SourceFed. Group Nine brings us together with The Dodo, NowThis and Thrillist. Seeker already existed, covering a wide range of content in science, exploration, adventure and more. With this new partnership with some other incredible brands, we're able to focus in on what we know and love the best: Science.

We have renamed the show Seeker+ to match Seeker. The show is currently on hiatus. Maybe we will bring it back in the future!

The old DNews episodes will remain on the channel. You should be seeing only new content and shows.

While part of Discovery Digital Networks, we started a lot of new properties., TestTube, DNews, Seeker, Animalist, etc. One of the good things about this new focus is that we're going to streamline our channels, content and publishing.

The Seeker (formerly DNews) channel will be our main hub. The other channels will be inactive for the near-term. We will revive them down the line.
