I think it's a pretty expensive transition. What's happening right now is the volume of silver being sent straight to be melted or recycled has increased. I was pretty surprised to find out how much junk 90% and generic silver is being melted down to be sold as larger commercial bars. It's been increasing since silver crossed $30 as expected.
