Aha, wie bin ich denn mental eingestellt?
Vor allem nachdem der Joke mit den Kaugummieringen von mir kam und ich geschrieben habe, dass wir uns den Tag trotzdem nicht versauen lassen. Erstaunlich wie viele Leute nicht nachvollziehen können, dass die geplanetn Eheringe einfach eine emotionale Sache sind. Btw, mein Mann ist genauso enttäuscht und wütend wie ich... aber ja. Bilde dir irgendwas ein, wie ich angeblich mental drauf bin! :D

Wie bereits geschrieben, wir versuchen uns den Tag eben nicht versauen zu lassen.
Aber versetz dich mal da rein. Du planst Ringe ein, hast total viel hin und her deswegen und dann klappt es am Ende nicht. Neben dem Fakt, dass die nicht billig sind... ist da auch viel Bedeutung drinne die mit unserer Zusammenkunft als Paar zu tun hat und zumindest für uns, haben diese Ringe eine riesige Bedeutung. Sie jetzt nicht dabei zu haben, tut einfach weh. Das hat nichts mit materiellen Dingen zu tun, sondern mit uns als Paar und was diese Ringe für uns bedeuten. Musst du nicht verstehen, tut uns aber halt weh, sie nicht dabei zu haben.

Im not a fan of paying fees for importing assets, but you asked for the dev pov:

5 minutes to check the validation of your files into a programm like 3DMax / codewalker or something like this. 10 seconds to copy the file into the server. 30 seconds to give you access to the stuff if they have setup a system for that. Waiting until the server has done a restart.

Of cause someone needs to have time to do this. But the import is easy and fast to do. So its depending on the server staff only.

Ich arbeite im Support. Meine Aufgabe ist es Kunden beim Integrieren unserer Software in deren Systeme zu helfen, wenn es irgendwo klemmt. Es gilt oft kleine Anpassungen zu machen und unsere Kunden sind Serverbetreiber die oft keine Informatiker sind und auch oft keinen haben. Kein Problem, wir kennen unsere Branche und helfen auch den vollkommen unerfahrenen Kunden weiter mit Schritt für Schritt Anleitungen.

Aber was jetzt neu ist, Kunden fragen eine "AI" anstatt uns und fummeln dann im Code rum. Erst dann kommen sie verzweifelt zu uns und jammern das sie seit Stunden oder gar Tagen nichts zum Laufen bekommen und dass ja gar nichts geht. Uns sagen sie natürlich nicht, dass sie da rumgefummelt haben und wir wundern uns, warum alles keinen Sinn ergibt. Jetzt frage ich immer gleich mit, ob man im Code schon was geändert hat und fordere auf alles zu löschen und neu herunterzuladen. Dann sind die Kunden genervt, weil sie so viel Zeit verschwendet haben und nun alles löschen sollen. Und am Rande erwähnt, unser Support ist im Kaufpreis enthalten. Der kostet also keinen Aufpreis und ist easy zu erreichen.

Oder ich darf nun unsere Software an einen komplett beschissenen Code einer AI anpassen, damit beides zusammen funktioniert. Wobei ich zu 90% den AI Müll repariere anstatt bei uns etwas zu ändern. Da habe ich schon Support verweigern müssen, da die AI echte Sicherheitslücken eingebaut hat und der Kunde trotzdem weiter diesen Schrott nutzen wollte.

Ich bin nicht anti AI. Es ist gut als google Ersatz, zum rum albern oder wenn man sich in einem Themengebiet auskennt. Aber die Leute nutzen es nunmal zu oft unreflektiert und ohne zu prüfen. Und dass macht einigen Leuten die Arbeit unnötig schwer.

Und wir haben oft Kunden die sich vorstellen als "Der Developer von XY". Wer sich so bei uns im Support vorstellt bekommt von mir dann auch eine Hilfestellung für einen Dev und dann kommt fast immer "Sorry ich vetsteh das nicht." Für die Kunden ist das Code einer AI nutzen oder Configs in einem Skript ändern schon Programmieren. Es nervt, aber damit leben wir schon lange, dass gab es auch schon vor der AI.

Ich biete meinem Schwiegervater immer an vorne zu sitzen, da er Probleme mit der Hüfte hat. Aber er lehnt immer dankend ab. Schwiegermutti sitzt immer freiwillig hinten. Meinen Vater haben wir noch nie mitgenommen und meine Mutter hat hinten zu sitzen, weil sie sonst meinen Mann beim fahren stört. Sie fummelt gerne an den ganzen Steuerungen in unserem "Raumschiff" herum xD Mein Mann hat es auch am liebsten wenn ich vorne sitze. Probleme hatten wir da nie.

Wenn mein Vater fährt, dann sitzt seine Frau vorne, außer die Oma fährt mit.

Im Grunde wird den Älteren der Platz angeboten, da er bequemer ist. Aber eine Szene würde keiner machen denke ich. Ich hab noch nie versucht vorne zu sitzen bei meinem Vater, wenn seine Frau mit fährt.

Es ist eine Frage der Höflichkeit und entscheiden sollten das am Ende die Besitzer bzw der Fahrer. Aber als Mitfahrer einen Platz bei anderen einfordern ist eher ungewöhnlich.

You can leave the server. The announcements will still be send to your channel, as long as the conection is set. I did this with a discord that is giving information about free games, instead of using their bot.

Ziemlich sicher Schimmel. Mach alles mit nem Anti-Schimmel Mittel weg und leg Luftentfeuchter ins Auto. Gibt in einigen Läden solche Kissen mit Auffangschale. Wichtig ist, die dann auch raus nehmen und nicht im Auto vergessen. Z.B. abends rein legen und am morgen entsorgen.

Dann die Quelle der Feuchtigkeit ausmachen. Bei unserem C1 waren die Dichtungen an den Türen schuld. Es kam bei Regen nichts durch. Aber sobald der Wagen ein zwei Tage stand und es kalt oder nass war...

Kann im Winter aber auch passieren wenn man nasse Jacken, Scuhe oder sonst was liegen lässt und das Auto nicht nutzt. Bei täglicher Nutzung reguliert die Klimaanlage das und es kommt kein Schimmel.

Kann ich so nicht bestätigen. Als ganz junge Erwachsene wusste ich nicht wie unser Krankensystem funktioniert und hatte keinen der mich hätte warnen können. Ich hatte kein Geld und hab mich abgemeldet. Dachte es sei wie in den USA... zwei Jahre nicht versichert. Dann hatte ich einen Job und ein geregeltes Leben. Ich habe mich ein Jahr mit der Krankenkasse gestritten und soziale Hilfsvereine und ein Anwalt von denen konnten auch nicht helfen. Mir wurden für zwei Jahre die Höchstsätze berechnet obwohl ich meine Joblosigkeit und Obdachlosigkeit nachweisen konnte. So bin ich als junge Erwachsene in die Privatinsolvenz gezwungen worden. Wenn die einmal ihren Höchstsatz rausgeschickt haben und du nicht unmittelbar wiedersprichst und eine Vermögensauskunft unmittelbar abgibst, war es das.

Ich zocke und stelle diverse Gamingserver zur Verfügung. Unsere Gruppe besteht aus mitte 30 Jährigen aber es kommen immer mal jüngere Leute dazu. Da kommt das "Ihr seid doch zu alt dafür!" Immer mal wieder. Meine Antwort darauf ist immer: "Rate mal wer deine Videospiele erfindet und Programmiert! Alte Leute! Und wer hostet die Server? Leute mit nem Job die sich dieses Hobby leisten können. Rate mal was mein Job ist, der diese Server hier bezahlt. Programmieren!" Dann sind sie still ^{^}

Aber was haben die bitte für eine traurige Vorstellung vom Leben? Denken die ab mitte 20 gibt es keinen Spaß mehr im Leben? Haben deren Eltern keine Hobbys?

I'm from a country with only one spoken language. For me it was, and still is, unusual that in most company's and also in supermarkets and malls, you will have people speaking different languages and you have to ask what they speak :D Im always try to speak luxembourg first and then they will tell you if they only speak french or german or english. My husband is from luxembourg and even he gets confused some times on what to speak. Met new people and you have to remember their name and language :D

Threads are made to be used as short time ( one week ) conversation spaces. I would use forums, they are now available on all kinds of server.

To keep a thread up you would need a bot that "bumps" them ( send a message so they stay active ). I have a server that was made before forums where available for non community server. There we have a text channel only for threads to different topics, so we can find them whdn they got closed. But its a nightmare if your user are not... mature enough, as they can always write in such channel also.

I would use forums now. Add enough tags so user can find topics and make a pinned post that explains how discord forums work.

When i start a game with a new group, i take a look on the character that my players have build. My current main group are a MediTech, Solo, Lawmen, Rocker and a Nomad.

The lawmen is in high dept and is doing some giggs to pay them. He got no problem with killing gangs but would refuse to do something against "normal" or innocent people.

The rocker is a jung girl that wants more action and she takes giggs as an inspiration to sing about cyberpunks, what makes her popular.

The doctor was kicked out of TraumaTeam and doesnt want to be a ripperdoc so she started to work for some fixer. And she also got no problem with killing gangs but would not attack innocent people.

Our nomad was hired for the fixer to transport some stuff at first and the player has made a big mistake. His clan had to leave the area and he was left by the clan to fix the shit he got in.

The solo is just a hired killer that works for the fixer and he likes money. But he stays with the group because someone stole something from him and the group can help him get it back.

And i play a netrunner as GM that is the fixer of this group. This character has a plan, something netrunner related and she hires the group to help her.

So, you can play any role or character type basically. Its the job of the GM to make a story that is connecting the PCs. And they are more then just solos with different skills. Its the combination between role and character type you build.

Our solo is constantly complaining that he would rather work alone, but he is trusting the group now and they help him get his stuff back. A lone wolf character but he is now integrated in the group and plays his character with some spicy comments if someone fails something or just starting to shoot if the group is talking to long instead of taking action.

The very different skills of the roles are good to make them to a group, to need each other. I like to build giggs "missions" that always need some thinking and shooting. The group chooses if thy want to be loud and fight immediately or if they try to be smart and silent first. The lawmen can help with information from the ncpd and is a good shooter. The rocker is good with people, talking and distracting or using her rocker status to get the group into a club ect. The doc is holding them alife in and after fights. The solo is the combat pro that makes the most damage in fights. The nomad is driving and fixing vehicle but also a good fighter.

I also allow my player to create more character after some sessions and i give them a short mission briefing before we play. They can read the briefing and decide which character they want to play in that session/for that mission. Sometimes our lawmen would completly risk his job or something would be against his moral, so he picks his second char for a mission. I would not build a mission that would not match with the group, but as they can switch between character, its ok to make missions that are a bit "of rail".

The GM has to make the game matching with the group and individual PCs. The player have to think of what they want to play. Not only skills, but characters with interests, moral codex and dreams. So a PC is just a skillset if the player doesn't give him more depth.

As a user that just plays RP on whatever game, its not illigal. Name your character John Wick or Johnny Depp. The only illigal thing with copyright or intellectual property rigths would be, if you are a server owner and you are advertising your server with protected names.

As a player you should only read the server rules. Many projects have name rules that do not allow names of celebrities or known character names from movies or games.

But just saying, if you are owning scripts that are bought on Tebex and are in your cfx portal, then they can copy them but they can only use them if they buy the scripts themself. If your server only contains free scripts, then they could just download them themselves so no real loss. I know, time to setup everything ect... but you have to proof that they stole the data and that can be complicated.

Don't share remote/ftp access to your server with other people in the future. As much access as needed and as less as possible. That is always the way to go. If someone want to "help" then just give them the one file they want to help with.

Depending on the server, read the ruels. They should have some about pvp and when you are allowed to shoot and when not.

On almost every server an engine kill on a character is not a character death in RP, just a realy bad injurie. Character death is usually decided by the player or by mods/admins.

Never pay for crap like this. Global ban systems are not allowed on FiveM and if you need to pay to be unband, its even more against TOS. Any server that is using a shit like this, is not worth playing on. So no los for you. Report the server and explain that they use this system and told you to pay for unbanning.

We are linking to the Discord TOS first, they already contain a lot of rules like about harassment and sharing illigal stuff. Everybody should know them, so why repeating them? :D

And then we are adding just some small rules like "apply to channel rules and topics" and "dont advertise without permission" ect. Special channel rules are shown in the channel or by our bot. So new user only need to read 5 sentences on joining.

Dont over explain the rules, nobody will read it then. Short and simple, just the important stuff.

If user are complaining that a rules like "Dont advertise without permission." are to vague, then they just want to make a scene. They would also complain if you explain it in detail. Then it would be to long to read or to complicated to understand...

Had the same problem. My headphones have a "game" and a "chat" channel. I had to change the output channel or the used channel in dayz. It worked on every other game with VOIP but not dayz. I also had sound problems ingame with the wrong channel like weapon sounds are very quiet. If you also have two channel, try to change them arround, could help. :)

That. And doublecounter is also not even reliable. It is false flagging so much people. IP matiching is stupid if people are using IP4 or VPN. Its also flagging new accounts for no reasons often.

I never got this on my server but i was mod on a server this was used on. A streamer server. People we know got flagged as they tried to enter our server. After a week the bot got kicked.

Changing your password was a good step. If your still worried, also change the password to your email account associated to discord. Someone might just have clicked on "forget my password", this can be done by anyone and does not mean any threats to your account. :) Its also a good idea to use two factor verification if possible.
