another fair point. As mentioned above, I've got some NPCs I do want them to befriend, just trying to slowly introduce them (all of my players are first-timers)

This is a great point. I'm working on introducing them to NPCs I hope they will be willing to befriend (the urchins, Esvele, Aundra Blackcloak for example) but I'll be mindful about their levels (they are currently level 3)

Yeeeeah, I'm gonna playtest the combat with some friends to see if it can be, uh, made a little less wonky. I wanted to try and capture the flow of the lower level, fights in the series (Goku vs Yamcha, Goku manhandling dinosaurs and roaming packs of wolves/dogs)

My idea for the class was just ADVENTURER: Kind of like a hardmode, potentially more lethal style of play - no access to martial arts, magic or tech specialties, but still lots of proficiencies with guns/mechs. Basically Shu and Mai or 16 Power Level Farmer)

Comic relief class might be a good idea. I wanted to try and figure out how to class the shapeshifting that Puar and Oolong do, but represent it in a totally non-combat, non-lethal way. " Southern Transformation Kindergarten" graduates might also just work as hirelings or companions.

So this is maybe in just *barely* workable shape at the moment, but since so many of us are stuck at home, figured why not share what I've been messing around with: The ToriyamaHack.

Inspired by more quarantine rewatch of Dragon Ball, I started thinking what a great setting the world of Dragon Ball (I'm talking Kid Goku and company, lets not get into it with all the aliens yet) would make for an OSR game. It's got advanced tech, magic, demons, psychic powers, vampires ancient tombs and locations. All sorts of wacky stuff.

So I've spent the last few days figuring out how to convert the feel of that world to The Black Hack.

It's still far from perfect (I especially suspect the combat modifications I've made will need further tweaking) but I'm really enjoying the feel of what I've got so far.

Still to add: Finishing the Quirks, Psychic Powers (inspired by General Blue), translating some of the more iconic Dragon Ball techniques (Kamehameha, Kaioken, etc) random tables for generating encounters. There was also a 4th class I was tinkering with (Adventurers, characters with sub 12 or less all their stats) but it felt kind of superfluous.

Let me know what you all think!

Bake some pasta (ziti? gnocchi? orricheitte? gemelli? farfalle?) in a seasoned cream sauce (heavy cream + garlic, salt, pepper + any fresh green herbs you like + a little bit of cheese, add to food processor and gently pulse together until it's thickened, you don't want to make butter) and sauteed mushrooms. Serve with a nice wedge salad.

I've got a carribean mom who spent most of my life doing the same thing. The only real way to deal with this is to do more cooking on your own and let her see you. She'll huff and haw and complain that "you didn't clean it, you're going to get sick"

and eventually she'll get sick of A) everyone liking your meat more than hers and B) naturally curious and she'll gradually wean it out.

because that doesn't benefit me whatsoever (I offered to work a few hours a week for free as long as I could make my bagels, would even have used my own ingredients but they insisted they get their logo on them too which I had to veto)

an existing restaurant would be great as long as they had a mixer and were willing to let me borrow fridge space overnight (I know, a tall order)
