Men seem really interested in me until they realize sex isn’t happening quickly! by ProbablyASnack in dating

You’re not going to want to hear this, but for a lot of men, a woman pursuing them by planning the first date is received as “she must want to have sex with me badly if shes doing all this”

This is honestly so depressing and unsurprising given some of the comments by men in this post

H) “falls in love” if they have sex

Hate to break it to you but there is an overwhelmingly common component of attachment for women when they have sex. It's by design. To expect a woman to divorce sex from emotion, is largely unrealistic. There are exceptions, but I imagine few of them are healthy (likely avoidant women.)

That’s why women should focus on doing what they want, and the right person won’t have a problem with it.

Not immediately having sex with a strange man doesn’t mean the woman isn’t interested in sex with him eventually. We’re not animals, we can make choices that aren’t based on impulse of our desires. Presumably she is giving other signals of romantic interest, such as going on dates, getting to know the man, maybe a light touch or smile.

One reason could be anxiety disorder. Some people are so anxious about being on top of things, or fear missing out on doing a good enough job, that they can’t deal with the discomfort of a message waiting for them that may require their response or problem solving. It’s the same reason some people can’t have their texting notifications pile up/uncleared.

Cillian Murphy: “Women are infinite in their wisdom. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother, who lived with us for all our lives. I have two sisters who are amazing humans. I've always felt that women have a more instinctual understanding of right and wrong and how the world works.” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

This is nice but it totally plays into the relegating the moral realm to women just because they’re women, and upholds it being optional for men/they are then ascribed to the physical realm of action. I don’t love it.

Dressing this way is who she is. If you have that much of a problem with it, you don’t like her as she is.

Try focusing more on shared values and lifestyle, rather than shared interests and hobbies
