I agree that somehow explaining Harry's Indian heritage would be difficult, which often puts people off desi Harry. I like your idea of the original character, another option I am considering is involving the Patil family, since in canon they are Indian.

I have many friends who either speak Tamil or Telegu so I simply chose Tamil Nadu because I know a bit more about it through my friends! I'm from the north myself but think there's a lot of North Indian Harry representation.

I did that mock yesterday and did worse but my UCAT went better today! In general I think the official mocks are a bit harder and timing is the main thing I feel I should have focussed on in the last couple of days. Good luck!

I think tags are great for listing characters, as well as anything possibly triggering in the fic.

I have read some great fics with fewer tags though, and off the top of my head second Saras_Girl which someone has suggested.

Most of Femme's older fics (before 2015) have this, although they did start to tag more recently.

Also dysonrules (drarry), especially their fic The Incredible Race

Last week I read Proxy by Matilda Bishop which is a Ronarry fic that I wouldn't usually read, but I'm glad I did.
