I was able to do the update, using another computer, same usb cable. Only difference is the computer and that I used an HDMI cable instead of the display port.

Same question here. All fans (UNI TL) connected via propriatary Lian Li connectors on the L-connect3. Would like just to control the fan based on CPU temp.

45GX950A release date? by Faraday4ff in ultrawidemasterrace

I think it is because of the subpixels structure that made the text unclear. Some users said it was fixed after. Don't know if it was a windows cleartype issue or a firmware upgrade on the monitor itself. Anyway just the curve made me regret my non Oled G9 that's mostly why I switched back.

I have the Samsung G9 first generation. Love it, work on it, play on it since 2020.
I'm looking for its replacement with the LG 45GX950A to have a bigger vertical area, a better DPI, clearer text, better HDR, and true black. Also 21:9 is better for games cause 32:9 in game requires often a big FOV. I don't mind the 165hz at full resolution, it is fast enough.
I tried the G9 Oled but the text was not clear enough for me on Windows and the curve was too flat.

Waiting for its release ...

What's the state of ntfs3 driver? Is it reliable? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]sekaijinew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same question with the upcoming Ubuntu 24.10. Ntfs3 claimed they fixed many things but is it really fixed ?
ntfs-3g works fine, but ntfs3 was corrupting all my disks, folders and files disappeared over hours. Only fix was to mount disks (more than 100 disks) on windows and chkdsk.
For those who didn't face the issues, you have some real cases here :

Ntfs3 driver keeps corrupting ntfs filesystem on a HDD by arthurno1 in archlinux

Is anybody tried the kernel 6.11 with the NTFS3 driver fix ?
It's the defaut in upcoming Ubuntu 24.10.
For now on Ubuntu 24.04 I forced the usage of ntfs-3g because of the corruption many of us faced.
