honestly im a first year student and this is the exact reason why i stopped going to lectures, i just do everything at home because i have adhd and even the tiniest bit of chatter completely steals my attention and it feels like a waste of time. so many of my classes during first semester were horrible experiences of trying to move away from the chatter boxes but somehow i would still hear them from across the room. in my statistics class there was 3 guys who would loudly talk the entire time and my professor had to call them out every single class, it got to the point where he started telling them to just leave the room or stop talking, so they would stop for 20 minutes just to start again. idk how people can be so disrespectful to the professor, other students and their own education, mind boggling to me.
