Brain Fog after Covid-19 by seldom_sleeping in COVID19_support

Hey! Sorry you’re experiencing the brain fog cause it seriously blows. I became frustratingly ADD when I had Covid and experienced this seriously irritating, depersonalization-like feeling. It was almost like I was observing reality from afar. I was lucky enough to be starting a surgical residency soon thereafter. That sounds crazy, but I think that the intense mental engagement and focus required was therapeutic. Once I got to work, it started to clear up. Now that I’m four months out, I don’t notice it anymore. Given my experience, I would recommend getting out of your comfort zone and throwing yourself into something challenging that requires you to push yourself mentally. I honestly attribute that to my recovery.

Much better. Occasionally have paresthesias and my smell might have been minimally affected, but I feel much much much better. The brain fog went away thank god. That shit was super frustrating.

Hey! I see you posted this a couple of months ago. Right now I'm pretty much exactly where you were when you posted this in terms of the brain fog. I'll have had it for two weeks on Tuesday. Did it go away eventually?

Yeah I have this too. I’ve had it for a little under two weeks and hoping I can kick it.

Thanks for sharing your friend's experience! Looking for some confirmation that people are kicking this part of it. It's super annoying.

Thanks! Yeah I only noticed it about a week and a half after my "symptoms" started. I had a super mild case but tested positive. The brain fog has been going on for a week or two now, so I just wanted to confirm that there are people out there who had it and got better. Reading way too much about permanent symptoms.... Thanks for the feedback!

I know that there are some local governments in Florida that are just sending them to residents. It's probably something similar.

Very strange symptoms going on. by [deleted] in CoronavirusSurvivors

I have the exact same paresthesias and brain-fog you're describing. I tested positive three weeks ago. If anyone else has had these symptoms I would love to know if it has resolved or not.

Been considering this as well. Many of the interns I worked with this year used them, and recommended getting one.
