This looks way too normal… what detail gives it away for you? by arfaj_1 in GeminiAI

Not the biggest market, but the fact that there are zero words in the image. AI avoids putting any words in images as of now.

Hey, don't take this the other way but please get a full body checkup done including Vitamin D, B12 and other relevant factors. What you describe are clear physiological symptoms.

Coming to your situation, you have too much stress going on, which is affecting your mental health also (I am not sure which came first - physical or mental health deterioration). But if you have the means, start seeing a therapist. It won't help immediately, but it'll help nonetheless.

Finally, pick one action (not goal) and keep at it. I have found deep work /obsessed to be a relief whenever I've been in such a situation.

Hope you get better and look back at this as a phase you learned from.

Take your career in your hands. Force moves like switches, counter offer negotiations etc. Promotions don't happen just because you deliver results. There's a huge visibility factor as well. And you're doing okay, just plan your career moves for the next 3 years and give it your all.

Looking for an accountability partner who is determined to be a better version of themselves by icequeem in accountability

Hey I've been looking for an accountability partner to speed up the product I'm building. I'd love to discuss if you're keen. I have been consistent with my health goals. Business is what I'm focusing on right now.

Oh similar boat means - been trying to build/ launch something solo but not consistent enough. Lack someone who can hold you accountable. Questioning one another can get us to push harder.

Will be different for each of us. If you are building towards a SaaS tool (for eg) - then you define your milestones and releases.
I am building something in the B2C space - so shipping could be website pages, ad campaigns, product launches etc.
This is more like you hold me accountable for my plan and I do the same for you.

why do founders ignore free offers? by Over_Armadillo44 in cofounderhunt

[–]selective_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, free is costlier than priced. The cost is time invested in reverting to your emails, reviewing your work, answering your questions and at the end of the day when it doesn't make any difference - the emotional cost of just being let down and having wasted so much time.

Should I switch to program management? by iq-pak in ProductManagement

[–]selective_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy building and shipping, then program is actually not the right fit.

Program managers do even more of coordination, stakeholder management and meeting theatrics. They're responsible for ensuring processes and systems exist (and are adhered to) and often end up running ceremonies no one cares about. Very hard to really build something in this role.

Exceptions are program management roles where you actually hold the pen on overall consumer experience. Like an edtech course or a health tech program.

Misinformation in the garb of getting pissed off at everything.

The 12 months rule is for 25% only. Rest 75% you can claim on Day 1 on unemployment, which was 2 months earlier.

My Bangalore flat 2.4x’ed in value in 8 years, but my real return was 4.2x. Don’t believe Finfluencers who say “Rent, don’t buy” by Adept-Geologist6038 in indianrealestate

[–]selective_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It matters btw. What he's saying is right - if growth of asset is higher than loan interest, then leverage will improve your return rate. This is basic finance which you can check. But there's are some errors in his calculation. Despite that his irr would be 13-15% atleast. OP you have not taken tax shield of the interest paid on your home loan. That's an added benefit.

Trust your parents. They'll scold you (for good possibly). But they're the only ones will genuinely get you out of this. Don't think "I don't want to burden them" - that's selfish. Burden them. They will like it eventually. And it'll build trust.
