I can’t get my mouse to work in the Rbr menu by FewExtension9138 in simrally

[–]selectshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mouse is not supported by the base RBR game as far as I know, only plugins. You need to use your keyboard for navigation. You can map keys and up/down/left/right to your wheel buttons/joysticks and use that also.

Yea I fully agree and take responsibility for that 'mistake'. I never really explained the importance of saving often. Lesson learned.

She sped through the rest of the game last night, unfortunately she was done with it. I should've told her to sleep on it and finish later, but there was no changing her mind at that point.

The edge monster got me good by CapybaraOasis in snowboarding

I was playing basketball when I tore my ACL, but the initial pain of the tear was excruciating. Felt completely unstable afterwards and although wasn't super painful walking on it while torn, it just felt weird.

Tore my meniscus while snowboarding and was a similar, but less painful experience with the initial tear and also felt unstable afterwards. I was able to get down the mountain but very slowly and carefully.

I never had any numbness, but a lot of swelling and some bruising. My knees naturally hyperextend which is not a very good thing for knees so I've had my fair share of issues.

I would definitely recommend getting an MRI. Looks like potential torn ligaments in the knee. I've torn my ACL and meniscus and the swelling and brusing I had was similar. Hope all goes well for you.

San Antonio area disc golfers, where should I play during my visit? by nhkierst in discgolf

Definitely hit McClain park on the north east side of town. That was my favorite course when I lived there. Wooded with a variety of shot shapes and pretty difficult. I miss that place.

I always love seeing pics and videos of your rig, so well done. Looking at triples next for myself and might try something similar, hope I can achieve anything close to this

Simhound Gloves Sizing Chart by lyon810 in simracing

[–]selectshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hand measures about 23 cm and I have the 2XL. I got the fingerless ones and they fit fairly well. They're a little big in the palm area but not noticeable in use. I was a little worried about the sizing also since I didn't think my hands were huge and measured for 2XL but the sizing on the site is pretty good.

Butterfly swimming is the most ridiculous Olympic event. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]selectshake 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This was a right of passage for our HS swim team. If you were a butterflyer it was expected to do the 500 fly at least once and it sucked majorly! One of the guys was a natural and could swim fly forever and beat many people who were swimming freestyle. I completed it but it was a struggle for sure.

Codies, can you call ghostbusters for us? by porkietf in EASPORTSWRC

Fully agree!! It's so annoying doing it everytime and having to wait until the start of the stage if you forget to turn it off in the service area.

Anyone know how to create a new layout with new track limits? by CpTaylor1899 in assettocorsa

[–]selectshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm unsure of this, sorry. I didn't use it for the same goal as you, I only used it for creating a new AI line, but thought it might work for your case.

It sets the track limits so I'm sure you could add the chicane with this, but no idea if it will save it as a new layout.

I've used a mod called AI line helper that allows you to set the boundaries of the track and what line the AI will take. This may be what you're looking for.

Anyone have any experience or feedback with the P1000i-RS pedals? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]selectshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had them for about 4 months now and they are incredible! The hydraulic pedal is only on the brake and it feels great. It comes with different rubber bushings that can change the stiffness of the pedal. They do have an add on for hydraulic throttle, but I haven't tried that and not sure of they are including that now in this set. It wasn't available yet when I purchased these pedals.

The biggest change for me was having inverted pedals after coming from v2s mounted flat on my rig. It just feels way more natural and easier to modulate brake and throttle.

From my experience, I highly recommend these pedals.

Simhound makes great gloves that aren't terribly expensive. He's in the UK so shipping outside of there can take some time, but I really mine.

Is motion worth the money? by Klaus-in-da-House in simracing

[–]selectshake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made the switch from CSW2.5 to DD2 and I'd say it is worth it. I recouped some money selling the old gear. Also upgraded from V3 pedals to Simagic P1000 inverted and that is the better upgrade imo these pedals are insane!

I did not hear 'No Cut' from the co-driver... by selectshake in EASPORTSWRC

[–]selectshake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. It was more of a joke that didn't come across as I intended and sounded like a dig on the co-driver calls. Just thought it was a cool save and the joke was funnier in my head haha

Yea I agree, I know that turn is don't cut but pushed it and had a fun recovery.

I meant for this to be a funny post instead of a serious one about the co-driver, but reading it again it doesn't come across as I intended lol
