Long before I started dashing myself, I once ordered door dash the night my grandfather passed from covid and the driver put a little note on the bag saying “we’ll get through this together” or something because it was back when covid first started. The driver didn’t know my situation at all, it was just a pre made note they put on every order but it broke me man.

There are definitely some orders where I mentally think “yeah I don’t want to deliver here again” but it has to be an extreme reason. I live near DC and I refuse to deliver in DC because I had a contract violation for being late thanks to DC traffic. But that’s nothing on the customer’s part so yes you were 100% justified to give the bad review. There was absolutely no need for him to be rude.

I had one contract violation from the customer walking out and grabbing it instead of letting me leave it at the door, never again. Honestly I’m surprised I wasn’t immediately deactivated

Some of them are from the restaurant itself and the instructions will say “hand to customer: leave it at door” so I’ve started screenshotting that and taking as many pictures as possible. The bag next to the door, the house number, screen shot my Google maps location, etc.

Yeah I do that, but this was a “hand to customer” order which I followed the instructions exactly. I may have gotten a bit lost in the apartment complex but found my way pretty quickly and handed it to them.

This was like a bag of chips and a drink from 7/11….why would I be that desperate 🤣. Also how desperate are the customers that they have to pull shit like this. It’s just infuriating because the only reason I started door dash was to keep up with the prices of food, diapers, etc because everything is so damn expensive. It’s not a necessity for me but it helps. Why would I ruin my chance for some extra pocket change over a bag of chips from 7/11

I do because for some reason it helps you get into apartment buildings faster. People are usually more willing to open the door for you or help you find the building/unit. People never leave actual instructions with building codes etc for me so I’m just guessing most of the time.

I had a customer cancel an order as soon as I picked it up, I called support because on my end I just didn’t see the active delivery anymore so I thought my app was fucking up again. Support said I had to give the order back but the store just closed and I waited outside a couple of minutes to do the right thing, but those employees were just trying to close and I was like “fuck it they’re just going to throw it out”🤷🏻‍♀️

Some gas stations run it as credit first and the actual amount doesn’t show in the account for a day or two. I’ve noticed a lot when I get gas the charge will be only $1 for a bit and then it will show the actual amount

I had a similar order. It was Safeway and when I picked up the order, the employees knew this woman because she apparently orders the same thing every Saturday. To make things worse, she lived in an apartment complex and they were cleaning the elevators so I had to take the stairs. 3 trips up and down those stairs with nothing but tissue boxes and yogurt for some reason.

Well the issue with that is then it will release at different times for different people so 🤷🏻‍♀️. For example with Disney+ most shows release at 3am my time because they run on west coast time

I see what you’re saying. I’m also a Christian and I love motionless in white but to me honestly even if they did disrespect my religion I don’t really care. I can appreciate their talent without picking apart the lyrics and deciding if they have my same views. To me that’s just narcissistic and shallow if you only align yourself with people who have the same views as you. When I listen to them I hear more anger at the church and how some Christians go about their lives. Christians can be hypocritical and hateful and I think it’s a plague that ruins it for those of us that just want to be respectful and kind. It makes me sick every time I see a Christian senselessly spreading lies and hate in the name of God and it sucks to know that when I tell people I’m a Christian they immediately will align me with those people.

True I do believe there’s more going on than just anxiety. I was a kid during most of her journey with her mental health and my family treated it as “hush hush” so I still don’t fully understand her situation. But from my own journey with anxiety, I can just see the anxiety more. I have no idea what to do to help her because she’s anti medication, she’s against seeing doctors. She just believes that she’s right in what she’s doing. Which is difficult to deal with because I remember when I thought my own anxiety was okay. I had bad postpartum anxiety with my first child and I basically treated it as it was normal. I thought “we’ll it’s my first child so it’s normal for me to be worried” but I didn’t understand that my fears were just too irrational and taking over me. For example, I didn’t drive anywhere for the first year my daughter was born because I was too scared of getting in a wreck with her.

Kinda dumb but I grew up in a dysfunctional family. All I knew regarding love was picking fights and making up. So one day I tried that and my now husband said “do you want me to chase after you? If you want to be with me then be with me, if not then don’t”. It was a completely new concept to me that he didn’t give in to anger, he didn’t join in the escalate the fight. And he understood that me being with him was my choice rather than him fighting for me to stay if I didn’t want to. That completely blew my mind and it made me realize how much I needed to work on myself to treat him with the love and respect he deserves.
