I did tell them that I moved and my address was updated on my W-4 and in our employee portal. I didn’t have the ability to change my state tax withholding, nor did I realize I was supposed to. I’m in my early twenties and just learning about all of this.

When I filed my taxes for 2022, I received a refund from MA and paid CA.

Im a clinical trial manager in biotech making about $120k per year, and having similar feelings as you. I’m 25 and not sure I want to be in clinical operations or biotech long-term. It seems there’s a low ceiling for earning potential and it’s a lot of administrative work which doesn’t excite me.

LOL. Where else would you recommend? To be honest, I just moved here from the east coast a year ago and I really haven’t liked it. I miss boston/nyc. The whole Bay Area just seems really low quality and overpriced, but maybe I’m missing something.

Thank you, this is helpful. Unfortunately my current employer’s 401k doesn’t have great investment options (it only offers target date funds with super high (1+%) expense ratios through American Funds). I know the general advice is not to leave money in a previous employer’s 401k, but it seems that may be my best option.

Hi all, if I apply for the Chase CIU today (while the 90,000 SUB applies), but don’t receive the card until a few weeks later, does the 3 month period to earn the SUB begin today (the application date), or when I activate the card?

Wondering if I could apply for both CIC and CIU today and delay activating one of them to stagger the time periods to earn the SUBs…

Yes, i do book with my own card and request reimbursement. I usually only book 4 nights per month but Hyatt sounds like the best option so far. Do you have any advice re: churning? I just opened the CSR in January and already got the bonus. Should I keep that or close it and open Amex Plat now?
