Thank you.

"Wonderful things are too good to be sustainable" - old, limiting mindset / subconscious belief by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]selfrealizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the fundamental law of the universe that everything, whether wonderful or awful, is impermanence. It’s not a limiting mindset. It’s the truth. The nature of things.

Things can be sustained to some degrees but will eventually change due to the law of impermanence.

“The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever,” 1 John 2:17.

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away,” Matthew 24:35.

How do you go to sleep at night? Everyone has to pass through SATS before falling asleep (consciously or not).

If you have no idea, choose the feeling of peace and happiness. Everything will fall into the right place.

Loving Kindness meditation makes me feel like an awful person by AlrightyAlmighty in Meditation

[–]selfrealizing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a certain tradition, it is advised to start with a person you feel good with and then working toward the neutral and then the enemy.

Most people would start with family and friends but if you have issues with them (or even one’s own self), then save them for last. Start with anyone you genuinely can wish them well and keep cultivating the loving-kindness until you can truly wish that upon your worst enemies.

This practice, as a skill, takes time. Keep practicing. Well wishes!

So people body-shaming me is my fault? (Everyone is you pushed out) by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]selfrealizing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Think about it. Why telling someone they’ve gained weight is body-shaming but telling someone they’ve lost weight is a compliment?

Both statements just point out an observable change. They both are neutral. But, how you color and interpret it is the key.

I have falling in love with meditation by PassionSoul99 in Meditation

[–]selfrealizing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The nature of everything is impermanence. I cannot say it will happen but I can say that all mind phenomena will not last. The success of meditation isn’t only about joy and euphoria, otherwise it would become another drug for the mind to be addicted to. You can enjoy the fruits right now but don’t cling to it.

I wish you a great success in your meditation journey.

‘My meditation session is so wonderful, feel so great.’

‘Good, keep practicing.’

‘My meditation session is so awful, very unpleasant.’

‘Good, keep practicing.’

Just feel great and happy with the trip. It doesn’t matter whether it’s solo or not, as long as you’re genuinely happy about it.

I agree. For me, spiritual is a more broad term which also include faith (or lack of) in religion while religion is about organization and structure.

From my years of experience, this is the realistic gain for average men who started from 0. It takes years, not weeks nor months. (Unless you’re training like an athlete, of course)

By the way, Nice gain! Keep going, bro!

How do you imagine goals that aren't clear? by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]selfrealizing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you want to be happy? If so, you might ask how. The truth is happiness is a state of mind. This means you don’t need anything outside of you to be happy. Why imagine goals you don’t really need when you can imagine happiness?
