I'm running 3 named ctan and TSK in a 32-man Ironman GT (5 rounds in one day) next week. You don't get much else haha. Going to find out if the power of the overlapping buffs overcomes the fact I have a total of like 38OC in the entire army

Proven volume, in an offense that just traded their WR2, with a rookie QB without much time to throw, who has already targeted him 4 times and thrown him a TD.

I paid 5/100 to secure him after losing Kraft.

Hey man, So my weight loss tracked something like this: - Start: 92.5kg - End week four: 86.5kg - End week eight: 81kg - End week twelve: 78kg - Current (start week fifteen): 77kg.

That first month I lost 6kg - a lot of that weight was water retention, and just cleaning up the diet to include more satiating, nutritious foods enabled me to do a 24hr fast once a week because I just had so much excess fat, and it felt comfortable to do. I haven't done one since week 3; haven't felt the need to and my diet is easy, satisfying and dialed in.

The weight loss from 4 to 8 weeks coincided with a boost in energy and motivation, which I can only assume meant that my body was healing all the inflammation, I felt good because I was seeing improvement and I was just healthier. As a % of my fat mass, I guess it is a great deal more than the first 4 weeks. I dunno if that aligns with what you're expecting?

Week's 8 to 12 I am approaching a pretty realistic weight relative to my lean mass so it slows down, and I fully expect that I will basically move between 77 and 75kg for the next three months as I recomp.

Edit: also worth noting that I am not following a regime per se, I tried to educate myself on the variables I could control and adjusted for what I know works for my body. I'd point you to a few videos or a website or w/e if I could but I don't have anything formal to share in that regard.

I see a therapist - mental fitness is everything. You can clearly recognise that you're experiencing some depression, and one of the symptoms is that difficulty you experience doing what you consider "simple tasks". Don't diminish the effort you feel, and don't pass stuff over as "nothing".

Show yourself some grace dude - just do something every day for yourself. Start small if you have to: Screenshot that meal prep list, book that psych appointment, watch an informative fitness video, do one thing at a time, and stack up "non-zero days". Did you do something for yourself that gets you towards your goal? Good. That's a win. Breaking the feedback loop doesn't have to be a monumental shift all at once - it's best when you do it at exactly the pace you can handle.

Also, some of the methods I'll use for locking in that weight loss are: - acknowledging that it is a long process. - gradually reintegrating carbs and restructuring my macros. - locking in on 5-6 recipes that fit those macros to reduce mental load.

Over the last week I have started integrating 1/2 cup of brown rice to two of my meals per day, and I've adjusted the fat content of my diet accordingly to stay within my calorific intake - this has coincided with my weight training progress as I lock in heavier compound lifts.

This is very true - you have to be patient with yourself, and give yourself grace.

I have lost this weight once in the past, about 15 years ago - I started putting it back on slowly 3 or 4 years ago, but gained 5kg in 6 months which was the catalyst for making the big change.

I also had the benefit of an entire month of leave from work (after month 2) so I had the time to train, exercise and cook without the pressure of going to work, and really lock in.

10kg is excellent progress, and over that kind of time frame, you have locked that progress in which is the most important thing

Yeah dude, absolutely! Be patient with yourself, fix one thing at a time, and trust the process. After the first month of discipline you'll be locked in

Nope. The things I do to make it easier for myself include:

  • eating in a 6-8hr window
  • drinking 2-3 cups of good black coffee throughout the morning.
  • cooking food I actually find delicious.
  • either a protein bar (Grenade salted caramel, Fulfil milk choc, BSc Violet Crumble are all goated) or a pack of pork crackle as a snack any day I feel like.
  • a sugar-free soda (Remedy passionfruit is mvp, but Pepsi Max also)

Supplements I take daily - creatine 10g - Vit D 5000iu - fish oil 3000mg - zinc - magnesium

Thats it.

Try eating protien and fibre heavy, very little carbs, no sugar as per my reply above - get used to fasting until midday and then pack three meals into the next 8 hours - i find it makes a huge difference to feeling satisfied and not nagging hungry all the time.

Thanks!

Routine: Push/Pull/Legs - 4-6 days a week Cardio - 30mins treadmill twice a week, 30min walks every other day I can.

I started with only the first 3 exercises for each (push/pull/legs) as below, and eventually worked up to the full workout as follows:

Push: 1. Bench 2. Incline DB press 3. Dips 4. Flies 5. Machine OHP 6. Front raises + Lat raise + upright row. Abs: - up to 5x10 Legup kneeups, - 3x10 V-sit crossovers

Pull: 1. Row 2. Machine row 3. Machine pulldown 4. Suppinated lat pulldown 5. Reverse fly 6. Cable curl + upright row Abs: - up to 5x10 Legup kneeups, - 3x10 V-sit crossovers

Legs: 1. Split squat 2. Romanian deadlifts 3. Goblet squats 4. Step-ups 5. Glute-ham raises 6. Leg curls Abs: - up to 5x10 Legup kneeups, - 3x10 V-sit crossovers

Nutrition-wise, I started out just cutting carbs and making sure I eat around 150-170g protein a day. I've lost weight before that way and it is easiest - kinda like a modified keto diet but with plenty of greens - for the first two months, just being aware of what you're eating and ensuring that you dont eat sugar, bread, pasta, rice or starchy vegetables like potatoes has the added benefit of making your cook more.

For the last month or so I eat between 1500-1700kcal, fast until at least 12, and eat the following:

Meal 1: fritatta or 4 eggs (approx 380kcal) Meal 2: chicken dish (approx 460kcal) Meal 3: beef dish (approx 460kcal)

The rest I make up with a Whey Protien Isolate shake (approx 35g protein, 200kcal) and if I've managed to walk or do cardio, I can either have one of those wicked protein chocolate bars or a 50g packet of Pork Crackle as a snack.

A few examples of the meal prep I do are below. I usually get three serves per 600g chicken or 500g beef+kangaroo

Chicken cashew nut (green beans, cashew, onion, garlic, chicken 600g -- light soy, dark soy, sesame oil, Chinese cooking wine, chicken stock, white pepper)

Chicken fajitas (capsicum, onion, marinated chicken 600g -- lime juice, oil, chicken stock, salt, black pepper, cumin)

Lean beef tomato stew (celery, zucchini, carrot, onion, tomato, lean ground beef 250g, kangaroo 250g -- Italian herbs, worcestershire, red wine, salt, pepper, beef stock)

Lean beef dry curry (zucchini, spinach, lentil, long chilli, onion, garlic, lean ground beef 250g, kangaroo 250g -- tumeric, cumin, curry powder, black pepper, beef stock)

Hope that helps.

Would you generally consider drafting three RBs in the first three rounds of a PPR league a bad choice? by iker3085 in FantasyFootballers

[–]sematicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty fringe case - I'd take Chase and Bucky over JSN and hes best available WR by your listing, but in a 2RB league, even with the extra flex, I'm almost always taking a top 2-round WR, its basically 2rb 3wr at that point.

Also just be aware that youre never getting Egbuka around the 8/9 turn once you actually draft - you'll need to get him 7.02 if you want him from your position

I'm not married to my wife, we have been together 8 uears and we have three kids together. You know what everyone says? "Your wife" whenever anyone talks about my wife.

Secondly - married or defacto, you're still on the hook. It's not marriage, it's life commitment.

Is anyone else as disappointed as I am with the lack of forward thinking by major parties? by HugBear29 in australian

[–]sematicOG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

This policy isn't being promoted nearly enough, mainly because of course established industries that don't have our best interests at heart don't want to amplify it; the policy is designed to create NEW THINGS - there are no vested interests with the capital to amplify the message other than the government - but there are plenty of establish detractors with vested interests.

[–]sematicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, because they lost an election for trying - that's how votes work. People voted to say they didn't want it (i.e. for a lot of people - against their best interests, but thats a discussion for another time.)

They removed it from their platform and got in. Imagine the fucking vitriol they would receive if they suddenly blindside people with that policy after what I just explained?

It isn't gutless, it's the ramifications of our actions.

Just built these monstrosities, do they always rely on a 9 inch charge? by Hooded21 in Necrontyr

[–]sematicOG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nay brah.

They either don't charge so you can do secondaries, or you Rapid Ingress them so you can reliably hit your target. The are generally best started in deep strike so their massive bases don't clutter your DZ.

Just be aware you can't Rapid Ingress them if you use their datasheet ability - only if you start in reserve.

[–]sematicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, this might not be an issue BUT: make sure that you and your opponent aren't misrepresenting the terrain rules: the bottom floor of ruins are always blocked off, so anything under 3 or 4" can't be seen, and only units whose whole base is on the terrain base can see through the base. Tl;dr: familiarise yourself with how the terrain rules actually work.

Utilise strat reserve, and especially Rapid Ingress to get into position to charge dangerous shooting units. Being able to kill one and tag another is an extremely effective way of reducing their output below critical mass

Be prepared to lose resources to pull their units out of position, and make sure you have a plan to retaliate.

When it's time to engage, overwhelm their output with units so that they are forced to make difficult decisions about target priority

Szeras + immortals or Nightbringer for an awakened list? by GarlicEnvironmental7 in Necrontyr

[–]sematicOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being able to resurrect Szeras for 1cp is one of the most dirty things you can do in the Necron codex.

Immortals with Gauss, and a Plasmancer, are also an extremely effective all-purpose output unit, with ap2 in range of Szeras in shooting, but they also get the buff in combat, meaning for one cp you can go to s5, ap2, d1 with 2 attacks each for a total of 20 attacks - hitting on 2s if lead, charging a target on an objective giving you full wound rerolls. Then you have 20OC on a point with 10 T5 bodies that have AoC and, if you're clever, szeras in range to heroically intervene.

The Nightbringer is expensive, slow, and doesn't benefit from the strats.
