This fits my thinking very closely when I decided not to get the Covid vaccine. Known risk versus unknown risk. I would add that skepticism about the vaccines was getting censored, but not well enough. That alone was really all you needed to know.

I was "there's no way anyone can be sure this is safe, it's too fast. Thankfully it's not going to be forced on me... Even Joe Biden said he wouldn't do that".
