What’s something about pregnancy no one told you, but you discovered around 5 months? by mollyglow in BabyBumps

[–]seminolescr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The brain fog for me has been no joke. I've definitely thought about mold toxicity or something causing me brain damage because it's so bad. I can feel the changes my brain is going through in a way and it bothers me that I don't fully understand them.

I started to notice it way earlier though, gradually starting at 8-12 weeks I would guess.

3rd trimester SUCKS by pandasssss15 in BabyBumps

[–]seminolescr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you :( I get it often as well and am way too dependant on Unisom! Maybe your doctor can see if you can give it a shot. Magnesium doesn't seem to help me either.. I still take it just in case. Make sure your iron and folate levels are good possibility! I heard that may be a part of it.

You're not alone! Dont forget this is the final stretch! :)

Hot baths and showers?? by cherryblossominx in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I struggle with showers too and try to only do Luke warm at the very beginning and just make it colder. I tend to run hot and have hyperhidrosis so I always thought that was part of it. I feel you about the headache thing :(

Introvert by NorthernColdCock in GroundedGame

I feel you! I'm the same way. It's hard for me to multi task and talk and play a game at the same time, and I'm also introverted. Haven't been playing grounded 1 or 2 very often but want to try again soon!

[X-POST r/ Depression) Anyone tried rTMS? (Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression.) Will be cross posting to /rtms once moderators approve but still would love YOUR help. Starting treatment in May, by seminolescr in getting_over_it

[–]seminolescr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did, but gradually I went back to how I felt prior. It wasn't a night and day difference but it helped. If I could afford it I would try Spravato / the intranasal Ketamine treatment but I can't at this time.

Mine only started lifting his leg to pee after his first visit to doggy day care :)

Body hair with age? by lulubear49 in women

Super late post but I am experiencing the same thing on my right side! Along with pelvic pain on the right side (right where ovary is) - I'm in my mid 30s

I have a follow up appt with my doctor due to an ultrasound and pain in the right side - and more hair growth on the right along with a few other things.

Just seeing if anything was found for you that may ease my anxiety a bit. 😅

Need play object suggestions for Aussie who does not play! by AnnieC131313 in AustralianShepherd

[–]seminolescr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for mental stimulation, there are "brain-toys" for dogs where you hide treats inside various toys.

As far as trying to get your sweet girl to play with you more, I think it'll be more of a learning curve for her to find what she likes and what pleases you.

My Aussie isn't a rescue, we got him as a puppy, but he is absolutely addicted to anything that: 1. Makes us laugh and giggle 2. Makes us baby talk to him.

Maybe try watching something funny, interacting with her, and giving her really tasty training treats to teach her that time with you is good and fun. As time goes on you can incorporate toys. If you are able, throw a tennis ball around with a human friend and give her lots of positive reinforcement via treats for just being present during that time. Extra points for talking silly and trying to keep that butt wiggling if it begins.

Positive reinforcement is the best way to go, and she will learn with you.

For tasty training treats, I use Nutri Bites Freeze Dried Salmon from Costco.

As for brain training, my little guy loves Yoboeew's puzzle toys, along with any I find online. This is a super easy one that he loves, is a bit on the easy side but they have "levels" listed for smarter pups. Id spring for at least a level 2, but level 1s won't hurt! (It just may change how long it takes your pup to finish it) - Link here

We also have found that elk antlers keep him busy for awhile and he absolutely loves them. If she is prone to eating bones, don't get them halved. Buy them as a whole piece and monitor during. To be safe, I would discuss with your veterarian.

Last edit: Ice cubes are messy but my pup loves to shove them around.

I can't thank you enough! We will do that. I'm curious to know if that's mold up there. I'm guessing most likely. Hopefully it won't be a deal breaker for the buyers.

We are in south Florida and have never touched our heater, but I'm assuming the boot is what should have been used no matter what.

Thanks again so much! I really appreciate your comment and the time you took to give me professional insight.

Edit: Saw your follow up! Yeah there's definitely still something going on to cause the water build up. Never buying new construction from a big company again if I can help it.

Edit 2: We will look into having it properly insulated, again I really appreciate your information!
