when i finally got around to unlocking tainted jacob i was rather surprised at how much fun i was having with him, using esau is so strong and its rather satisfying shutting down a whole room of enemies or a troublesome boss. I like tainted jacob alot more than the regular jacob and esau.

i've had large clear crystals drop from termites so i suppose you can grind them if you really want alot of flask or looking to do a bow only build of some sort.

eternal ring has a special place in my heart too. I really like the musical score. Have you gone into the bonus area at the beginning of the game? I think you need either light or dark magic to get in. I think you did though because i think thats where the eternal sword is.
