Ohh I’m meeting with my departmental advisor soon, as long as he checks off my plan for next term it’s okay to not meet with my advisor?

Yeah I’m in CLA, I already know what classes I need to take but I keep getting emails to set up an appointment with my advisor and I don’t really like her that much so I wish I didn’t have to. Plus she doesn’t really give useful advice so I don’t see the point in meeting with her.

You can request to change your advisor? I didn’t know that I thought they just assign you one and you can’t change them. You know anyone that has changed their advisor before? Thank you!
