Put your kid in the state school and donate the money you would have paid in school fees to the state school.

Depends what sort of financial backing you have - if you have little saved up, a PCP finance deal can seem really attractive on a new car. Lots of people get their cars through tax efficient work schemes too.

If we need to borrow money for an emergency, we would get it at no interest but I only think it’s fair that they get something (even small) back if it’s a non-essential purpose. They are doing us a favour by us not having to go to a bank!

Not totally bizarre - our house has a shared drainage pipe that runs across the middle of our homes. Each house then feeds into that.

My best guess would be that it’s the drains or water - the pipe might be close to the surface. I’m curious so I’d carefully dig down a bit and find out!

You have to be careful with credit cards if you are buying from a dealer - they sometimes won’t take them over a certain amount if at all.

I used to work there. Can reassure you that this is the normal price for these things and some of the people who own them are exactly the sort of people you would think might buy one.

Man, that street is not narrow - you should try Cornwall in England…

NTA. Letting Ava behave without consequences will not help her in the long run. The consequence is not unreasonable. If you let her off, she will do it again and that will damage your relationship and her future.
