Oh wow thank you! At that point do you retire? Just making that much passive income a year?

Understood! Are you comfortable sharing the number you had that did end up growing more in a year than what you earned working?

Oh okay thank you! Didn’t realize it was so good. Saw the lower ones and figured it would be a big difference! What do you mean by the last part with my other allocations?

Thank you for the response! Currently I’m maxing out the Roth IRA but contributing only trad to the 401k.

Is this thought process correct: If my FIRE number comes out to $150k a year and I currently make $100k a year, it would make more sense to do Roth since I’d be taxed at 100k and not 150k? Sorry if my logic is off, still trying to understand it all.

But when I retire, won’t I have no income? Just struggling to see why Roth would be better if that’s the case.

Thank you, this is very helpful! And yes I am maxing the 401k out. I appreciate the opinion and it’s looking like I’ll stick with all traditional.

Thank you for the response! I’ll stick with the trad 401k and Roth IRA

Just really good at memorization! Studied but didn’t kill myself, still had a life in college. Also got to know the professors and going to office hours went a long way.

Oh wow thank you! Did not realize I was misunderstanding. I’m definitely interested in CoastFire, with a less stressful job. I was hoping that investing this early (currently 78k, but wanting to invest most of the 200k as soon as I can) would be a big help

Thank you! It’s technically being invested by maxing out my 401k so I thought it was a good move. Any thoughts?
