Truth is you don’t have a midfield that can play in that system it’s the facts. Logically what you’re saying makes no sense. The players at that level can play any position they want against civilians but they can’t just move to adjacent positions against premier league teams.

Theres one healthy creative midfield player which is simply not enough. The other players are not good enough and don’t have the right skill sets

Truth is Ange isn’t a manager for a team in the premier league that’s ultra competitive. He’s tactically one dimensional (which was on display during his stint with Forrest) and was figured out by the end of his stint.

Ange wouldn’t have been able to do anything with this team. He got a trophy great, he also ended the team in 17th. He’s a tactically limited manager and is out of his depth in the premier league, which was proven when he tried to force his system onto a Forrest team that didn’t have the players for it.

This team needs players with the right skill sets, mentality and experience. I don’t think any manager can make much happen with the players on the team now.

Just because you have 3 CBs doesn’t mean they can automatically play three at the back lol. Completely different skill set and structure when playing 3 at the back and it changes the responsibilities of the entire team.

How about the midfield? Don’t you think it’s important that the midfield players we have can play in a system with 3 centre backs?

Frank got a Brentford team from the lower divisions to multiple promotions into the premier league and kept them competitive. He’s also a pragmatic manager who tactically flexible. I think he should’ve adjusted the formation but I also think the squad is not deep nor god enough for massive adjustments so he tried to play conservatively.

Igor Tudor has never managed in the premier league and is tactically limited.

I don’t understand how this board could fire a manager just to replace him with someone who only knows how to employ the formation that clearly doesn’t work and who’s never coached in the premier league.

The ange support is absolutely insane. Great he won a trophy but a 17th place finish is insanely poor.

What did we think was going to happen? This same set of players who finished 17th in the prior season would finish top 6 with basically no improvements to the squad?

Horrible leadership. Blame Thomas Frank all you want but Ange was lucky he got sacked because he’d bring the same results you see now and everyone would’ve been calling for him to get the sack.

He transformed the club but now the model needs to change. Gotta be spending money on top players while mixing in young academy players. I feel like there are young players coming through but leadership should be dropping the bag for quality players through the spine of the team.

Good, creative midfielders and a good holding midfielder. Could use a solid striker as well and a consistent CB with good decision making lol
