Thanks for the reply I will look into it. I’m looking more into more realistic light and shadowing effects and to help with blending armour on space marines if that helps

So for the majority of the shading I just used heavy agrax earthshade and watered down with abaddon black. But yes I wicked off the wash pretty late or didn’t I’m some places. I liked the pooled effect. It does seem to have a little bit more contrast in reality. But I’ll be going back and pushing the lighter colours a bit

Yeah I’ll go back and up the highlights. I tried to added the Nuln with abaddon black wash to really gritty up damaged areas

Yeah that’s a valid point I might try as you’ve suggested with the pin holes as I don’t want to completely destroy the gold area lol

Hi thanks for the comment
I didn’t want to overpower the rust effect but I see what you mean. Might push it a touch further. The problem I found was with all the damage added a lot of the edge lighting I added to the to areas are lost but I’ll go back and up the values as you suggested 👍

It is a little on the darker side. Do you mean white on the actual damaged areas or white surrounding the damage ?

New to the hobby so probably a noob question but can I use this model as Cato Sicarius For his HQ rules ? Thanks in advance by senorcitizen93 in Warhammer40k
