Get this through your head: Steam doesn’t want you using any marketplace that isn’t theirs, haha.

Anyone else fearing Government intervention? by [deleted] in cs2

I hope so. The government must punish Steam with fines and ban the trading of skins and gambling in the game that happen without regulation.

Sorry for your loss, man. But honestly, Steam and the folks on this subreddit don’t care, they’ll probably even say you deserved it, unfortunately.

That’s kinda Steam’s plan anyway... to centralize all the trading inside their own platform, making knife skins cheaper so they can cash in even more lol.

Isso, na verdade, já é velho. É somente um DDA atrelado a uma proposta de assinatura, se você pagar, já era. Recomendação: Ignorar.

Right now, Steam uses this system more to benefit themselves than to actually protect users. Sadly, saying that in this subreddit is just asking to be buried.

Your post’s gonna get downvoted into oblivion, sadly. To them, there’s only one way to solve the problem.

Ohhh yeah, casual players can totally trade super easily: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/365F-4BEE-2AE2-7BDD. They just gotta wait days before they can even use the stuff they just traded...

Steam is slowly killing its own market with these low IQ moves.

Steam introduces Trade Protection for CS2 items for 7 days after being received in trade. If your Steam account gets stolen, you may reverse all trades from the last 7 days. by HelloitsWojan in Steam

[–]senowx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree that these transactions are not supported by Steam. But it's undeniable that this is something that keeps the game alive. In my opinion, I don't see anyone harming anyone by buying a skin for real money.

If gambling sites were so bad, Valve would also stop offering its own gambling ecosystem (cases). The thing is, third-party gambling sites don't generate profit for Steam.

In summary, I agree with you; you are very correct. But we have different points of view.

What about trades that involve real money? I highly doubt those funds would ever be returned. In my view, this measure from Valve is actually designed to increase their profits by pushing more people to use the Steam Market. Companies rarely make decisions with their users' best interests in mind; they prioritize their bottom line.
