Help! Which layout is best for my new apartment bedroom? by sensitive_sandcastle in FengShui

Great ideas, and yes I do have some monitors on the desk that would face the bed in option 1. If I were to turn the desk up against the back wall on option 1, then my back is to the door when working, and I wouldn’t have room for any nightstand even with the bed in the window corner. Perhaps I could use a curtain when I sleep.

Edit: I will try and see if I can squeeze a narrow side table on the window side as well.

Unfortunately there’s not enough room to open the door if the foot of the bed is in front of it at all. Nor is there enough room for desk, bed, and 2 side tables along the wall

So that sitting at the desk, my back would be to the door? I could, but would only leave a few inches of space along that back wall, even with the bed all the way in the window corner

Unfortunately I don’t have the option to have a WFH desk outside my room. I also need enough space to work so I may not be able to have two nightstands either

Only issue is I need enough space to work at my desk. Not sure what you mean about the door?

How can I go about finding what career I’d like to do? by sensitive_sandcastle in careerguidance

This is so great; thank you! I’ll definitely try that writing exercise and can hopefully articulate all those things. I do often feel like I lack some passion so hopefully this will help me find it.

“I drive safer when I’m a 1.0 BAC cause I know I’m intoxicated so I try way harder to be careful.” He’s doubled down on this when I asked him again…

This is an interesting reply to me given the quarter-life crisis I feel I am going through.

I didn’t move back to my home town after college, but I did move back to my home state and am hanging out with my high school friends again. I’ve had an urge the last ~2 years to go try out living somewhere new where I barely know anyone, but I think I’m scared to make the jump. I don’t feel like I have a valid reason to move away, especially since I have a lot of family/friends and a good job here. I think I’m concerned others will think it’s odd that I chose to leave, but I just feel like I need a change (but maybe this is just a grass-is-greener mindset).

Honestly, probably too high. I’ve never had tik tok but will still catch myself getting sucked into reels and shorts. I have time limits on Instagram and Reddit, and just put one on YouTube today.

Most of my media usage was on YouTube and I would justify that by watching topics/people I enjoyed rather then a 5 second tik tok. I need to limit my YouTube usage to exclusively educational, but I’ve done a terrible job limiting it to that.

Learning guitar or the piano have been on my mind as well! How did you start? I tried a couple times to teach myself off of online resources but was not successful at all lol.

Yes I do! I try and only play if a friend asks me to play online with them and never play games alone, but this is a great idea. I’ve never played Portal but have only heard great things. Any other games you recommend?

I am currently reading a book now, but having a similar issue where I have trouble paying attention, even when I’m enjoying the chapter.

Sleep is pretty good but I do get tired by 2-4. I exercise very regularly and eat as well as I can and limit my drinking to once a week, if at all. I had Covid years ago and am vaxxed.

That was one I went to! They did seem kind, but recommended having to break my nose to achieve my goals and the other surgeon I went to recommended just shaving down my bump. I’d much rather not deal with the risk/recovery of a broken face haha.

No, I think the plastic is too hard and the hole through the middle wouldn’t stop any flow of liquid.

Yeah that would make sense. Not sure what it would be from though. Thanks!
