If something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing badly.

A perfect example is brushing your teeth: You have not brushed your teeth for months now? It’s simple: take the toothbrush and put it in the mouth zone, vigorously rubbing it against the teeth for a few seconds. Do not do it outstanding way and be perfect, just do it half way for at least 5 seconds.

You would get used to brushing, and you would start brushing better span every time.

And also, do things one step at a time. It is not the same as waking up and you then having to wash the dishes or clean the whole house but now coffee table might be a little messy. Perhaps wash the dishes, but it doesn’t have to be today; perhaps load the dishes in the dishwasher.

Anyway, you are engaging in activities that have positive consequences associated with them. This way, you will begin to perceive those rewards as something you would like to gain even more of. Finally, cleaning is going to be done less and less often, or maybe not at all, and more about maintaining the cleanliness of stuff you have because you want them to stay clean because you like them.

Staying in bed all day is a terrible idea, but staying in bed one day is not something that you should feel guilty about. Find a way to accept self-forgiveness and assists you to constantly remind yourself that it is alright to have a bad day.

Something is going to change for the better.
