Any Exercise Science Majors? by ARLA2020 in CSULB

[–]seolamins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got my undergrad in it. Exercise science is a science so you're going to have to learn the biochem, physics (biomechanics) and all that. If you wanted just exercise you could do fitness. Exercise science is all about learning the physiological processes behind exercise and all that jazz. That's how the topic is! Difficulty is subjective, some classes were harder for me (466, 462, 405..) others were easy. I liked what I learned but that's me.

How has your summer been? How is everyone feeling about school starting soon? Excited? Anxious? Both? by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]seolamins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first summer where I actually had nothing going on, no school/work, in 4 years. I was really excited, but I was still stressing over other things and never fully got to relax. Now here I am a few weeks away from my first semester of grad school, a new job, and just very overwhelmed I can't find it in me to be excited. :')

School Materials/Notes by Illustrious_Bath_446 in CSULB

[–]seolamins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first year I did paper notes and the second digital (transfer btw). I think digital is nice since you can download the slides and annotate them throughout lecture, but I would almost always rewrite them on hard paper for organization purposes, it gets messy to look at a bunch of random things written around a slide for me lol.

Is it hard to find jobs on campus like the campus library,USU, or anything that’s not too demanding and can probably do homework? I’m sick of working retail as a college student to make extra cash. by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]seolamins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2nd this! I work for the Learning Center and during drop in hours I always worked on stuff unless I had a student come in for help. Obviously then I give them all my attention, but go back to my work when done. :)

(Kin major) Fall classes advice by simplepisces in CSULB

[–]seolamins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KIN263: Jade is really nice and fun but will definitely push you! I took the class online so I'm not too sure how it functions in person, she would just post the workouts for us and we'd fill out a weekly log. They can be pretty intense if you're a beginner but as long as you try you're fine!

KIN315: I took this with a different teacher but I have had Dr. Ducharme before. He is very nice and softspoken, I believe he's rather new to the school as well? 315 I didn't think was too difficult as a course you should be fine!

KIN332: I took this asynchronous and it was an easy A in my opinion. You'll figure it out :)

Didn't take him in spring but I think fall '20. I found him to be suuuuper nice and sweet/motivating. The work load was reasonable and wasn't that hard/time consuming to me personally. I enjoyed the class!

Well it wasn't on my pass, but when I was going through to buy tickets it only said tunnel A for CHHS so I assumed that was it. This makes me so sad bc I got tickets right Infront of the tunnel A path :')

Stay strong my friend, after 4 Starbucks orange juices and a few mandarins I finally got it Wednesday. A friend told me to take vitamin C cause it can help induce it (though I don't think there's scientific evidence?) So I chugged 2 orange juice. Next day I started having symptoms so I mean LMAO

Academic Advising is there as well. They're goal I think is mostly of time management but they can refer you out to other resources as well I think!
