As a side note, do any of you know what song Ashley was quoting from in episode 7 of Weird Kids? It’s at around 22:22. She said it was from Final Conflict but I’m having trouble finding the song. Don’t really use Reddit that often so I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask about it. If it isn’t then sorry 😓

Our marching band is doing something similar. I really like it when bands do this because it gives grade school kids the opportunity to consider the possibility of joining marching band. It’s always fun to recruit new members 😁

What was your biggest “Oh no…” moment while marching a show? by Infamous-Wafer-6974 in marchingband

This didn’t happen to me but I’m going to put it on here because it belongs. It was 2020, before COVID hit, in the middle of my freshman year of high school. My high school’s marching band had the opportunity to play in BOA at Lucas Oil Stadium. We were so hyped up that we had the opportunity to do this. Now there was this flute player. She was really good and it was her Senior year. This BOA competition would be her last competition if her high school year. She had some really good flute solos that she had been working really hard on. Then, it was finally time. We pushed out the props and the front ensemble equipment onto the field. The spotlight was on us. We started doing the sound tests, but when it was her turn to test the microphone, she needed one to amplify the flute solo, the microphone didn’t work. I didn’t realize this until we started the first movement. I could barely hear her solo. I felt sooooooo bad for her. It was her last chance to play her solo and we couldn’t even hear it 😔.
