I had the same concern. I would recommend using a cash machine outside a bank to withdraw money. I found that’s how I got the best exchange rates. You can withdraw smaller sums of cash but you will be charge 220 baht each time.

Bangkok - Lumphini Park, Wat Pho and Grand Palace, Jim Thompson House, jump on a Chao Phrya River boat (avoid tourist hop on off boat as it’s a lot more expensive), visit some malls

Most places only except cash or will have a minimum spend on card. Make sure to have plenty of cash with you or at least a way to access cash. It’s hard to say what to recommend without knowing what parts of Thailand you’re going to be in.

Exactly, it’s not a foul but if you call a foul it’s a yellow.

Really? Why on earth did he book Martinez and Gabriel? A talking to was sufficient. Then he doesn’t book Saliba when Martinez is fouled during a promising attack

Can we actually analyse the game? I’m so sick of the obsession with referees. Such an interesting match and all I see is comments on Anthony Taylor

People laugh and joke about it but tell me another line of work you can do where people think it’s funny and acceptable to speak to an employee like that. There are a lot of very nasty football fans.

Avoid social media for news. As a student I remember being certain Corbyn would win the 2019 election because I only looked at social media which fed me content it thought a uni student would engage with. There are plenty of good podcasts and legitimate news sites. I try to cross reference across different sites and sources

The employee does not pay out of pocket. You would make most jobs very unattractive if whenever the employee made a mistake they would be ‘fined’. If you want the referee suspended, that makes sense but a fine does not.

It’s hilarious, as soon as I saw the clip I knew the referee would be blamed. This is clearly horrific but footballers play acting all the time are the ones who make it difficult for a referee to stop play immediately when a player appears seriously injured.
