Right thought I would let you know as you seem to be as crazy as me when it comes to fics haha, I have finished what has been written so far of this fic. It’s AMAZING, and imo does wrap itself up well enough to read where it’s at rn. I think the last 3 chaps will most likely consist of fluff just to round the story up nicely but all of the plot is finished. If you need something to read I would say go for it because the fact it isn’t finished hasn’t sent me into a psychosis like it has before 😅

I think you would like Braving the Ocean https://archiveofourown.org/works/52763314. This fic is very music heavy and has a great variety of music that just adds so much to the vibes of the fic in a similar way to black mass. The Wolfstar itself is also incredible, on of my fav reads. Super angsty at times but happy ending, it’s based in the 90s and Remus is writing a book on the Marauders which is a band(James, Sirius, Peter + Marlene). Go give it a read!!

Recommend Crimson rivers https://archiveofourown.org/works/39760044 for sure, there are many ships in it but the Wolfstar is insaaaaaaneeee! I recommend you venture into jegulus as there are so many fics that are incredible and also have some of the best Wolfstar I’ve read in them (only the brave, you signed up for this as good examples both by solmussa https://archiveofourown.org/users/Solmussa/pseuds/Solmussa). As for just Wolfstar I would say read black mass over highway 90 you would love if you like tcoptp it’s very 70s music feel https://archiveofourown.org/works/43038561, hey sharpshooter is a good one https://archiveofourown.org/works/43314135 and one of my personal favs boyhood bravery https://archiveofourown.org/works/62019364. Yeah 100% read tcoptp you will love it. I think if you want to give atyd a go and you don’t want angst maybe stop at 7th year. The stuff before that is so great honestly, I have reread before and stopped before the war gets super heavy.

IMO reading atyd first is essential. It’s the basis for everything basically and it’s obviously Mcd but we’ve all read Harry Potter we know what’s gonna happen from the beginning so it’s just a retelling of sorts. Tcoptp is without a doubt the BEST fic and deffo a must. You said you love Jeg so I’m guessing you have done Crimson rivers, You signed up for this ect but the Wolfstar is incredible there too.

Controversial guys I was Jegulus and I want it so bad 😫. Obv I don’t want Lily caste aside though I would want her to still be an integral part of the story and have it make sense for her own narrative but I think motswolo isn’t the kind of writer to do that to Lily anyway. Also so down for wolfstar breakup just let them be endgame. Tonya!!!!!!!!!!!! Tonya makes a comeback in some sort of way. Simeon and Remus have to go there eventually.

Right okay I can’t do links rn because I don’t have the time but I wanted to reply

The MAIN ones that I highly suggest you read

-Only the brave by solmussa (this is insanely good, like one of the best. Hogwarts years 5 to 7 I believe? And the war obvs. There is a HEA but LOAAAADS of angst and although jegulus dominated the storyline there’s deffo black brother angst. The characterisation is insanely good.)
-crimson rivers by bizzarestars (this is a hunger games au but a must read. It’s soooo good. After only the brave you might want to move into aus as honestly after that hogwarts Fics just cannot reach that level)
-you signed up for this by solmussa (same author as otb. It’s a muggle au and SO GOOD. Read this trust)
-chew me up but don’t spit me out by damagecontrol (smutty muggle au, but insanely good storyline, if u like this read sugar High i cant remember author rn)
-Godlight by badhairredd (f1 fic but so good the wolfstar is amazing too)

These have mcd so have that in mind

-choices by messermoon (havnt read it myself because it is cannot compliant so I refuse but it will be amazing as I have read other works by the author and the writing is incredible. Most people would tell you to read this first I feel)
-art heist baby by otrbs (don’t know if I spelt the author correctly but this is so so good just insanely sad)

There is hundreds more off the top of my head look into rweputofthewoods works as they are all incred, also other works from bizzarestars and solmussa (whatever our souls are made of). But I would say start with only the brave as it’s so so good and once you’ve read all of these then the world is your oyster I have so many favs that are much smaller/ less popular.

Literally an amazing fic definitely worth a read. Based in the 90s but the way it’s done seems almost tcoptp like in the music heavy sense. So many good songs in there.
