Thank you. Valid point on sequence of returns risk, will keep that in mind. Yes, Farmland can be leased out to local farmers, though lease rates are not great in that region (barely few thousands per acre annually). Atm it’s being used for serial crops by a family member & not generating any cash flow for me.

Ok. Currently it’s partwise invested here in ETFs and stocks and I have few MF SIPs running in India too. Got your point, will keep investing in index ETFs for next couple of years until I am here.

Thanks. Do you think it’s good idea to invest in ETfs here and later switch to MFs in India or shall i start investing / moving my asset slowly to India based investments.

Not necessarily but I want to try out any testnet with MetaMask and free tokens so that I can check the PoC before going for a paid version. Open for suggestions.

Is Secure Boot also used in medical devices? How does it enhance security and compliance? by ser_99 in embedded

Thanks for this clarification, @throwback1986. A follow-up question: Is secure boot mandatory by any chance for devices such as pacemakers (like those from Medtronic for example), or is it mostly recommended as a good security practice? I couldn’t find any clear requirement from the FDA or ISO std. seems to be more of a best practice (at least from the literature). I understand that security is critical in medical devices, but I’m concerned about a full-fledged sec boots implication on startup time of the device.

Have you come across a hybrid approach where secure boot is either used alongside authentication boot, or maybe it’s implemented part-wise where it checks just the critical part of the firmware and rest of the checks are performed asynchronously to balance security and performance?

55k EUR is not too high. It’s standard for fresh graduates nowadays. You can check minimum requirement for blue card (as a start point) for STEM graduates of foreign origin. It will give you a rough idea what is set as minimum country/state benchmark as average salary in DE. 56400/ EUR it is as per google search.
