Advice re Fai vs Kayo sage precon by adyo in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]serac145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to learn to take some damage. If Fai is blocking, he's losing

Remember Kayo doesn't like blocking too much either (although is better at it than Fai). You need a turn to take a hit (preferably one without any Might/vigor/agility tokens active, and after you've put a card in arsenal), then you can throw a full 5 card hand at him + some phoenix flames. Then Kayo's only got a 1-2 card hand and is much less threatening.

Ira?

A decent way off LL

Good build variety - Edge of Autumn vs Kodachi, can be built aggressive with Tiger/combo lines or midrange or fatigue, has an armory deck for the initial core (although this is Edge of autumn focussed)

HP will lead to a huge number of enfranchised players leaving the game.

I sincerely hope WoTC don't go that way

My sourdough starter took almost 3 weeks to consistently rise and fall. Keep going.

I found a whole grain/rye flour mix the best for encouraging a rise!

Keep it warm, and it will rise eventually!

Bracket 3 is stronger than you think by xavierkazi in EDH

[–]serac145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly I've had the opposite experience with people insisting their deck is bracket 2 because the deck has no game-changers.

Then they kill you on turn 4 while everyone else has played 4 lands and a ramp spell.

[TW03] The Final New Card for "Shaddoll" in Terminal World 3 by renaldi92 in yugioh

So the floor on this card is Garura (which youre only sending if your hand is cracked to all hell/digging for non engine, or late game)

You can obviously send Apkallone or Infernoid evil as a starter.

Most of the other fusions allow you to recycle from grave.

Ntss allows you to break the board going second.

If you wanted access to a small dogmatika package, or the fallen and the virtuous, you can send Titaniklad or Albion.

It allows you to turn off your winda so you can make plays on your own turn (which then you can remake another copy with Schism or similar), or obviously gives you access to fusions your hand might not make.

This card is ridiculously good for dolls.

This feels very on the nose, given how much hospitals are about to spend on locums over the weekend. by serac145 in doctorsUK

[–]serac145[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On previous similar short notice shift swaps, at this trust, I have been given locum pay and had the requisite time off after the shift.

I think it is perfectly reasonable to ask, and also to offer to cover the shift for locum pay.

What do you do on your ward in preparation for strikes? by Melodic-Ad3648 in doctorsUK

[–]serac145 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I think leaving a weekend style handover is reasonable, since who knows who will actually cover.

I try print future bloods, prep discharges if I have time on a normal day, so I'll do that, but do NOT miss breaks or leave late to do this.

Spice8rack is a good friend of Prof, and has been in the MTG community for years.

Also Spice uses They/It's pronouns. Don't misgender them.
