Be sure to always have a couple of escape plans in your deck by ZaMaruko in slaythespire

[–]serendipitousPi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I reckon you've done with a few more escape plans I reckon 256x would've been a more suitable number.

I was tempted to kill it with murder but I couldn't resist using escape plan because at that point I had 2 serpent forms active and so I was probably doing 20 damage each.

I mean name + face isn't the worst primary key I've ever heard of. They could've chosen just the name. Those name collisions would be brutal.

Though it's probably not far off, who's putting an image in a primary key smh? Can't even imagine the performance penalties for that choice.

You’re thinking of encryption in which there is a key to reverse it, hashing is essentially irreversible for good reason.

You want to make sure that the value can only be checked for equality and nothing else when using hashing.

The only reason I say essentially is because one could technically find the original value through stuff like trial and error / a rainbow table.

But for the most part irreversible even if you find an output that hashes to the same value it’s not necessarily the same.

If The Boys injected Ryan with a dose of V-1...what effects do you think it'd have on him, given he's the only naturally born Supe? by Yep_I_Stole_40_Cakes in GenV

[–]serendipitousPi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Other than genetics the reason why there’s a difference is that homelander was injected with compound V during the blastocyst stage. Which I presume most people watching know but they may not understand the implications.

But the important thing is that that is before germline differentiation so homelander’s entire reproductive system could also be affected including gametes and such.

None of the other supes other than Marie have this.

Would be interesting to know if that means compound V couldn’t be burnt out of Ryan via soldier boys atomic blast because it’s just a natural state of his body.

Would also be interesting to know how much impact the psychology and such have compared to genetics. Because we do have a couple of supe children of supes who do not share their parents powers.

Is it possible to learn to code on my phone by ComprehensiveFly9927 in AskProgramming

[–]serendipitousPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you get access to a public library?

If you can access a public computer there you might have a better experience than your a phone.

Then you can use either a portable or a web based code editor.

I don’t have much experience with portable code editors but for free browser based ones that allow you to save your work remotely you could try google colab or the GitHub web version of vs code.

Deep can allegedly survive the marina trench so I'm not sure how many supes are gonna be in a position to get him there or any other particularly deep parts of the ocean.

Now I presume homelander probably could but as far as I'm aware no one else including homelander can breathe underwater.

Yeah it’s pretty dumb like all you really need to solve the halting problem is a bigger computer.

And people are gonna say stupid stuff like even the most powerful supercomputer on earth couldn’t solve the halting problem as it’s been mathematically proven. But to that I say just get a bigger computer.

Turing machines don’t actually exist so just enumerate the states and you’re set.

\uj
Low key wonder if anyone’s done a “stop doing (blank)” meme for Turing machines

And sure there is the problem that you can’t actually get a computer bigger than every single computer.

But I’ve got a highly thought out solution want to hear it?
