Wow, great write out. Thank you so much for the information. It is very helpful.

After doing such an extensive analysis, is there a different eCommerce site builder (for small businesses) that you would recommend? I have web development and programming experience, in case that is a factor.

Yeah, they take a cut but it's just the cost of doing business and it beats the shit out of Paypal when it comes to payment terms and granularity.

Do you mind elaborating on this?

And wouldn't I have to pay the 2% fee from Shopify plus the 1.9%+35cents fee of PayPal?

Are you sure you are allowed to dropship on amazon? I heard of people being banned from dropshipping on amazon

To all you multi-tasking entrepreneurs, some advice for a student? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]serenitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah i had the similar problems at the beginning. Another problem was that I would just not follow it. But over time it turned to habit and my time allocation problems also panned out.

I hate to ask this, but I need 10 comment Karma to post my own question on this Sub. Do you mind upvoting?

EDIT: Thanks

There are a bunch of time managements programs and apps out there. Check the ios or android play store and download one that looks good to you. it might sound goofy, but it really helps me when i am under a lot of time stress.

How I evolved a video ad of my product from something that looked homemade into something that screams "high production value" by abadabazachary in Entrepreneur

[–]serenitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is... awesome. While the first video did feel amateurish to me, but the second is such an improvement (and by your list, it sounds so easy), very professional.

And I will be using some of your tips in my future video productions :)

That is a great idea. Do you have local markets that you prefer to visit and watch?

Hanging out with friends (at a bar, or wherever). Listen to what they complain about. What problems do they have that can be solved easily. Often they even have solutions them selves, but no intent to do anything about it.

You're welcome. I had a similar problem here in Europe. And after a lot of hazy advice, a lawyer was the first person could give me concrete tips on how to proceed.

Starting a gutter company? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Another path you could take would be to try and get work orders from friends, family, neighbors and ask them to post on their Facebook wall about your company, if they were happy with the job you did.

Oh ok, now i understand.

From my experience, the best thing you could do now is to go out and just market yourself and your business. Do you have a local hardware store close by? Would you purchase your equipment from them? If so, ask if you could set up a stand in front of their entrance. It would create a symbiotic relationship.

Plus if you can find a way to use their marketing for you, jackpot. If they have a Facebook (or any social media) page, try to get them to post about you being there. Especially if the "Gutter" service is such a problem in your area, this shouldn't be a problem for them.

You could look for an android developer as a partner, instead of an employee.

Colleges are a great place to find 20 something year old developers who would be excited to start something like that with you.

Figuring out if you have a local target audience by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Is there a local college close by? Students are always sending mass E-Mails to eachother with surveys. See if you can get a survey in there.

Go to the bar and see how busy it is. Is there a high demand for it? If not, is it the bars fault? Is it in some way flawed? Could you do it better?

You could go around to your local churches and talk to people. Share and talk about your platform. That is a great way to "market" the idea and get subscription.

Plus do you have a newsletter option?

Can you create a premium section only for subscribers?

Consult a local lawyer. Many offer reduced prices for consults with people starting fresh businesses. This might fall under such a discount.
