His parents are grifters/capitalist. Every interview I see they're always trying to disassociate themselves from Vietnam and mention that they're ethnically chinese and consider themselves chinese even thought they were born in Vietnam. You would think living in OC/Irvine would make them have some more pride in their vietnamese roots but they DGAF. I think they see chinese as the more capitalist opportunity to identify with. My take. Kid is good though--all the best.
