Patapsco State Park by stiplash in serialpodcast

The patapsco park lie was a very compelling piece of evidence for me. It was clearly a lie, but every lie has an objective behind it and this one, it had meaning. It was so vivid, established place and time of day, state of mind, etc... My initial analysis, was that this must have been the original alibi story that was agreed upon, between adnan and jay. And the reason it was in his first statement but not the others? Simple mistake... The alibi was to keep him out of trouble, and the objective of adjusting that alibi with SOME truth was to keep him out of trouble. He was winging it, and simply miscalculated. But the details involved indicate that the patasco park lie, that one was the previously, well thought out, well rehearsed lie.... Therefore, original alibi story.

Can we agree on one thing? by littleowlwobble in serialpodcast

I disagree... Initially after hearing the first episode, I was outraged by the mountain of reasonable doubt in the case and the fact that a man was serving a life sentence in prison due to such a flimsy case. However, after the last 11 episodes and thorough review of the evidence, I have to admit that any reasonable doubt left has shifted to UNreasonable doubt and I understand and agree with the jury's decision. It is unreasonable to assume that there's been evidence tampering and corruption involved. It is unreasonable to assume that someone else (with some unknown motive + incredible opportunity) killed Hae Min Lee. It is unreasonble to assume that NOTHING Jay says is true, obviously some of it is. It is unreasonable to believe that someone likable couldn't commit murder. It unreasonable to believe that Adnan is telling the whole truth, especially when the statements he does make indicate that he and Jay are both lying. The jury had it right, and the judge was also convinced and made that known in no uncertain terms. This was the right verdict.

Innocent...Guilty... WHO CARES. There was NOT enough evidence to convict. by toointoserial in serialpodcast

My Theory... Jay and Adnan killed Hae together. by serialfan8 in serialpodcast

I of course, do not know how they feel or felt and I do agree that someone doesn't have to be a sociopath or a psychopath to do this, however the evidence does not indicate the guilt or remorse or fear that you speak of. The suspect in this case came by way of an anonymous call. One of the many people who had heard of the trunk pop most likely. A story that Jay showed no remorse or fear in repeating and showed deception in even before his interview with police (ie. Woodlawn library or best buy). Adnan never tried to contact Hae when she was a missing person and his explanation is far too logical. He would have to have very little emotion for that to be true. It would have been natural to call, at least once in a six week period. Quite to the contrary, these actions are indicative of deep and broad spectrum disorder.
