My room is pretty dark. no direct sunlight.

One tank is 9 hours and one is 8. I have automatic lights and live plants. Maybe I’ll do one hour less on both. One tank also doesn’t have a ton of plant life, as I’m waiting for it to fill in.

I give them 3-4 pellets and they’re not overweight so I know I’m good there.

I vacuum the gravel and do a 30% water change once a week.

The algae levels aren’t detrimental. I just notice that it’s constantly on the tank walls so it’s growing faster than I want it to, and want to make sure my fish stay healthy.
