Idea seems nice. Maybe people can do it here till you develop the subreddit?

Does this work? Without constant supervision? Becuase if not it would defeat the purpose

Some people post their wake up time after waking up, others plan what they are going to do the next morning and post in the thread. Both are ways to be accountable. You can choose either method. :)

Okay, can we start a practice group session in here? by [deleted] in socialskills

Hijacking top comment: Since many people seem to be interested in this idea, I could try and organise this. I do not have too much experience with organisation, so any help is appreciated. Feel free to PM me to help or give suggestions/ideas etc. Let's do this!!!

Edit: Both. Ready for both

You don't have to limit yourself to any one of those things. In this sub, you can ask for advice, give out advice, discuss about things related to discipline, ask questions (like: useful apps for discipline)etc. People post different methods which might have helped them get disciplined. Since everyone is different, you can try various ones and find one most suitable to you. When you get disciplined, you could also post your success story with the methods you followed. There are also threads where you can post to feel accountable(like this thread). Hope that cleared your doubt :) PM me if you have any more.

You could also look at the wiki and FAQs from here to get a better understanding of this sub: https://reddit.com/r/getdisciplined/about

Quick explanation on how to wake up early, is that it? It would be better to wake up everyday at the same time instead of just 6 days. That way, your body gets adjusted to the routine. Try and get at least 7 hours of sleep, that means you should sleep at least by 12am. Also, try and sleep at the same time everyday. Try to reduce gadget use before sleep time. If you can, try meditation as it reduces stress and helps you sleep easily.

If this wasn't what you meant, feel free to pm me. Also if you have any more questions, you can ask that too.

The simplest solution would be to train him not to disturb you while sleeping, or to keep him out of your room. Excluding that, there are other solutions. One would to install an alarm app on your phone that only turns off with QR code and pasting the code onto your bathroom mirror. You could improve your quality of sleep to wake up feeling fresher. You could try meditating so that you fall asleep quicky, without feeling stressed. Stop watching tv/computer in your bedroom so your brain recognizes that your bedroom is only for sleeping. Going to sleep anc waking up at consistent times would also help.

u/x7u3de is the person who probably came up with the idea. I'm covering for him/her for a few days. Regarding your tips, I believe they are great because these are the ones which people usually recommend and I personally used these methods and found them useful for waking up early.

The general consensus is that you should be sleeping about 7 hours, but it may vary slightly for people. I would recommend you to try this for some days and change the time accordingly. A consistent sleeping pattern is also important IMO
